Kind of bringing this back from the "dead" or "dying" but i like it
Saw the thread mentioned in another thread by BamBam so i had to take a look
I'm always impressed about how factory looking your "mods" are bam... you make me want to redo everything i've don in the past and strive to make the new things that much better and "factory" looking.
Thanks man
Oh, and btw::: STOP IT, YOU'RE MAKING THE REST OF US LOOK BAD JK
Yikes! At least you got two of them in there! We got a little of that nastiness up here in Wilmington, but no warnings of hail or anything. Right now it's gusting to about 45mph down at the beach though
After ignoring my wife's reports of coolant leaks and over heating (oops) here's a nice Christmas week update:
In the last week I've done
head gasket
o2 sensor
new radiator
cooling fan
replaced one injector/all new injector seals
new lower rad. hose
thermostat
spark plugs
valve adjustment
cleaned throttle body and EACV
all new gaskets from the head up...
So today, she comes to pick me up where I sold the red wagon, and I see a puddle under the car. Tastes like antifreeze, too! Brought it home to check it out, and the water pump is leaking! So tonight I did the water pump and a new timing belt, replaced the AC and alternator belts, too.
wow just read the whole thread and you have made her car amazing! how is the back carpet doing that you painted? i was thinking about painting my teg seats to match my gray interior
Dying works pretty well, my dad's done it on old car interior before and it comes out fine. My dash in my Cuda is actually dyed right now until I get a new dash.
Well, there haven't been many updates on this one in awhile. Since I got her the DelSol, she's driven the wagon once...
I worked on it some a few weeks ago, gutted the melted catalyst and charged the AC. The charge didn't last a day. I just parked it then and just now got back to it.
Changed the AC compressor tonight, will drive it to work tomorrow for testing. I've bought the new cat, just need to weld it in.
It will be fine to store it at my house since it is closer.
...so long as y'all have a place for me to sleep when she misses it, okay.
Update: The AC continues to work, but on my second day driving it to work the exhaust developed a noisy hole. I have the parts (of course) to fix it, just no time right now...

I will be stopping by to drop that shaft off on one of my passes.. If you need anything else, let me know..

The painted carpet faded some, but still looks better than if it weren't done I guess. I've been meaning to try dying one.
