Painting my trim was like the biggest improvement on my car.

I gotta say Trev, my hat's off to you. You've spun that car in a 360 in less than a few months. I guess only you and I only know how much work that car needed. I'm shocked at how well that it's turned out! Once again, major congrats!
  • wow, how much glue to put all that back together ?

    naahhh...

thats capital TLC, right there ...

The only glue is for the rearmost side window trim - I don't think it's supposed to come off without removing the glass, so I kinda broke it...

i want to see more pictures... and the blue wheels on it!

I actually repainted my bumpers yesterday. I can take some pictures of my bumpers(repainted) vs my side trim that hasn't been painted since Feb. (I use flat black so the sun fades it over time.

That's all the pics there are for now. Just put her on the dolly to take back to the painter tomorrow after work.

There's only one blue wheel, it was just a gag. I will admit, it needs some color or something- almost looks military :?

Revmaynard: spend a couple bucks and get the real paint and you won't have to redo it= cheaper in the long run.

well. Because of multiple issues, the solution is another coat of paint. I'm kinda bummed, i just spent the evening stripping all the trim back off  #!*&^&&%%#!!

    Update!

picked the car up (again) from the painter tonight. It's raining and dark here, so it's hard to see what's up, but I think it's gonna be OK. I'm pissed and behind schedule, so watch for things to happen fast.

    coming soon:
    tint
    stereo
    upholstery
    wheels?
    mpfi swap?

    I demand an update!
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
    No new pictures lately.
I've got it all assembled (AGAIN), working on wipers, taking AC evaporator out to clean it, rear defogger= nothing too exciting. I haven't had too much time to devote to it this week, life happened.

I am (hopefully) picking up a set of mini fat5s this morning :)

Great job picking the color. Black H emblems look good too.

I can see why you say it's a little dark, but I think it compliments the black trim very well. Great job man, the car looks amazing.

Get some fat fives for pebbles ride and some clear front indicators for your ride... oh and the roof rack wing thing for pebbles car... then you'll be set! :)

We've got the rack fairing, and the clear lights, but no wheels yet. She hasn't decided what she wants. I vote for fatfives. What do you guys think?

    Thanks for the compliments :)
