When I bled the rear right there was a bit of gunk or something coming out, the fluid was quite cloudy too so will flush it all with Ferodo Dot4 fluid tomorrow. The brakes still work, though they dont inspire confidence

Started the wiring loom today whilst watching TV, stripped the plastic and tape off and re-arranged some plugs, still need to add the extra wires

mmm I love wiring looms. Not.

It'll look pretty good once its done though. I have to remove my old alb loom at some point

They arnt so bad once you get into it, I can remember what all the plugs do except one, its a small 2pin green socket the come out next to the Dizzy plugs, I will figure it out once I get the loom onto the car.

Also new wheels should arrive tomorrow, they are 14x6.5" +38et Mugen CF48 that are very very oxidised, so I will polish them up at some stage:

Loom is from an EF3, so DOHC ZC

Aah I thought it was a vtec loom. don't the dohc zc have a exhaust cam sensor or something? I'm just guessing here

Nah not VTEC loom...yet. I tried that but all the pinouts are in different places, i.e alternator wiring comes out of the loom on drivers side in EF3 but in a DA6 it comes out on the passengers side etc etc.

Yea thats right they have a crank angle sensor, so thats probably it, will suss out some wiring diagrams to confirm. Yout can see it in the pic, its the little green plug at the bottom next to the dizzy wiring and oxy sensor etc. Still need to pull out that oxy sensor wiring, will probably use the cable for the knock sensor since its a single core shielded cable much the same as used for a knock sensor normally.
I think the current issue I have is the knock sensor wiring I added to my current loom is non shielded and is running next to the alternator power cable which are causing interference

This is what has been happening with my FaceLift front

Local Bodykit maker is using it to make a J's Racing Style Lip, I will be picking it up at some stage for a test fit on the car!

    About time :P

  • Looks good. I like that J's racing lip on the EF9 bumper

Still havnt actually done anything. Motivation is severely lacking with Winter on the way.

However I have been collecting more parts, I now have 3x Personal Steering wheels (yea im not sure why) and the other day got these:
    733.jpg
Some oldschool Alpine Parcel shelf speakers, the Alpine Logo lights up! Not bad for $15

Oh and today the bumper and lip is being dropped off :D

Yep sure do, so I have a choice of 5 steering wheels in total (1x wooden, 3x Black Leather, 1x OEM)

Heres what the speakers look like at night:

They will be slightly brighter as that was powered off a 7.2V battery

I do wiring for a job, but when im not being paid to work then im rather hard to motivate

But I aim to have it going in the next month, before it gets too cold to be enjoyable working on the car outside

Right, so today I actually did something on the Shuttle. First job was to attach my HCW sticker (no pics for some reason?)

Then pulled the loom out so I can use it as a template of sorts for the final stages of the new loom.

This is the engine bay currently(sorry for phone pics):
    309.jpg

I have a shorter throttle cable ready to go in, and have swapped my Ali intake tube for a EF9 SIR Civic Intake

This is how I spent my Sunday morning, modding my loom finally. Its all done now, just need to solder on the Knock Sensor plug which is still sitting in the Shuttle and re-wrap it in the plastic:
    98.jpg

Also got a new rocker cover, I shaved that at work during the week, just need to paint it.
    Also a new 15/16th Brake M/C.
    99.jpg

Not pictured is the EF9 Intake that arrived the other day, also have a New Spoon Radiator cap, and Mugen Reservior socks coming

    Oh and a new Radiator

Thanks, sadly the NZ summer sun has not been kind, the roof and bonnet have a severe case of peeling clear coat and now that its winter im starting to get rust around the window frames :(

In other news, these are on the way
    157.jpg
DA Integra shocks which i wont need.

Plan is the have it going Early August as its been sitting on my parents driveway since January. Got to keep it look stock as possible until after its inspection, then can fit all the new parts
  • NZ-DB8RNZ-DB8R Moderator
Well the rocker cover is done.

Started with this, cost me $20:
    241.jpg
Shaved it with a disc grinder:
    99.jpg
Painted it the same colour as the car, hard to see in this pic but best I could get at this hour:

Actually did some work on this the other day.

Loom is mostly in. Found that I need a new booster to match the Brake M/C as the bolt PCD is opposite (leans this way / rather than this way \ )

Also been spending more money and bought these today:
    745.jpg
Work Nezart 15x8" +35et and 15x7" +25et with 195/50/R15 Tyres. 8" will go on the front 7" on the rear.

Here is the bay with the loom in, just need to tidy up where it plugs into the body loom on each side:
    746.jpg

Oh and how the car sits (still)
