If I remember correctly the connection was bad in 3 of 4 speakers, music would play but just very quiet.. I was going to get it fixed but I have a few other decks that I wanted to get fixed first so I let it go. Good luck though, it can be a pain to find someone who is willing to work on these old tape decks.
@thegreatbacon Exactly what i was told by the seller. Sounds like the internal amp has a problem from what I gather but who knows may jus be a loose connection, fingers crossed.....
Just picked up a Jackson Racing D16 supercharger kit(JRPN # 989-200) w/3.8 JR blower pulley 4-rib. Previous owner only put 7k miles on it. I just missing the Bando 4pk1220 blower belt. Still trying to source a D16Y8 crank pulley, 3.2in 4-rib and 3in 4-rib blower pulley so i can boost 11-12 psi.
That's sick bro. Your going to hook it up ASAP or wait a bit?
Still got to source a bondo 4pk1220 blower belt, D16Y8 crank pulley, 3.2in 4-rib & 3in 4-rib blower pulley first then intall. The supplied JR 3.8in blower pulley with my d16z6 crank pulley should net 6-7psi's but I'm trying to max out the M45 blower to JR's specs as suggested by tech at supercharger.com(jackson racing website) when i asked them multiple questions thru e-mail.They suggested using a Y8 crank and 3in or 3.2in blower pulley from pulleyboys.com should get me to my goal if blower is in optimum condition.
When I e-mailed Jackson racing they insisted that no markings exist to distinguish which 1 of 4 D16 JRSC generation I have. This is what I found and thought this was interesting >>
Can anyone else confirm if they to have the "CIVIC" stamp on there JRSC manifold? im jus wondering...
This was my convo thru email with Jackson Racing and to help out anyone else who has the same questions that I had >>
Dear Jason,
Thanks for your inquiry; all of our kits were application specific so when
you have a kit installed on a Frankenstein set up makes it difficult to
provide an answer. I will answer the best I can.
1) Which supercharger belt would work due to my set-up Z6 block/Y8 head? -
Might be 3PK1220 for 3-rib blower pulley or 4pk1220 for 4-rib. Its really depending on your JRSC kit and vehicle chassis.
2) Which supercharger idler pulley would I need? I'm thinking JRPN# 051-628
but not sure.-- 2x 051-628
3) How can one tell which model D16 JRSC kit one has? --- best way would
be from the seller
4) Any specific markings/different parts(3-rib/4-rib pulley) to tell which
JRSC model? --Kits didn't have any marking order numbers stamped on them.
We can try by the charger pulleys size and ribs and the year of the engine
the kit came off of. ****I found some marking which is shown in picture above***
5) Do you folks sell a selection of different sizes blower pulley for D16?
-- Being out of the business for so long we no longer have these pulleys.
Try www.pulleyboys.com
6) Is these JRPN#'s still active? 988-250 bracket assembly(what's included
can you please list), 051-214 bracket. -- we do have 2 left of 988-250
$305.00 each + shipping
7) D16 JRSC M45 blower max RPM rated at that was tested? Max boot would be 11/12 LBS
you would need a custom pulley made to achieve this.
8) What crank pulley(A6,Z6,Y7 or Y8) and blower pulley set up would meet the
max or close to max blower RPM? We only offer a boot upgrade that replaced
the base kit crank pulley. The Diameter of blower belt drive area of the
base crank pulley = 6.20" 6 PSI to larger 8 PSI and a charger pulley from
the base kit 3.8 to 3.2 that would give you 9-10 PSI. Sorry don't have the
diameter of the larger 8 PSI crank pulley.
3-rib vs 4-rib blower pulley. That aint my hand or my picture I got it from http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1745564&page=34
Problem: belt not aligning to blower pulley.
In picture below: Crank pylley= 3 groove/4 rib, alternator pulley= groove/4 rib & Blower pulley= 2 groove/3-rib.
Fix: Need to upgrade from 2 groove/3 rib blower pulley to >> 3 groove/4 rib blower pulley or you might just need pulleyboys.com JRSC blower pulley spacer to make the 2 groove/3 rib blower pulley work. I personally would upgrade to a 4 rib setup for less belt slippage.
Im allways curious of what these blowers should do on a stock D16 SOHC, any numbers available?
You can find all the answers in this forum link. This specific thread covers all and specific to D16 JRSC's with dyno charts and list of supporting mods. Here's the link >> http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1745564 This specific thread is a good read I suggest to read it you will learn a lot!....
Just some notes I found to help me understand JRSC and how they perform:
- Think of the crank pulley and blower pulley as a 10 speed bike. One revolution of the crank pulley will equal to so many revolutions of the blower pulley depending on size.
- Smaller blower pulley = more boost.
- Bigger crank pulley = more boost.
- SC's in general produce heat just remember at a certain PSI(above 12)/blower RPM heat soak will become an issue. That's when water/meth injection and water to air intercooled setup is a option, either or depending on which technology you believe in.
- Always try to operate within JRSC tested specs but if you push your blower trying to find the limit that's all you.
- Blower pulley are referred to inches not psi's example: I have a 10 PSI blower pulley means nothing. I have a 3.2in blower pulley has meaning. The amount of PSI's is determined by the size of the crank pulley and size of the blower pulley. That's why when I refer to how many PSI's I want to push I always state Y8 crank pulley 6.29in w/3.2in blower pulley should net 10-12 PSI's.
- How well your JRSC will perform is highly dependent on the condition of the blower and the health of your motor. I may push 11 PSI's with my 3.2in blower pulley but some one else may need a 3in pulley to achieve the same PSI's. Motor health, compression ratio and blower health are major factors.
- D16Y8 is the biggest Honda OEM crank pulley @6.29in you can get that fits unless you get a custom crank pulley made. Also read B_series crank pulleys work to but dont know the size.
- D Series swappable crank pulleys A6 5.79", Z6 6.04", Y7-8 6.29".
- All Jackson Racing SC'd cars are running 10:1 to 11.5:1 compression depending on build. SC's produce more power at higher compression ratio's and of course dyno tuning is a big factor to extract the most power.
Mail man dropped theses off today >> pulleyboys.com 3.2in/3in JR blower pulley, 2x JR 2.5in idler pulley and 2x bando blower belts.
Waiting for my AEM water/meth kit version 2 to arrive. Still trying to source Mugen EK Airbox and Mugen EF specific rare exhaust system. If anyone on the board got there hands on them Mugen items I'm looking for let me know....
Tanabe medallion touring exhaust T70027.
Going to use axle back portion and custom from axle forward to header.
Another set of rear blinds with the arm like the japan guys. Shout out to Vladi for the part thanks bro...
Finishing Lines EF full tuck brake line kit
I got there 1st set and I'm there tester. Got a good price too...well cheaper then what's listed on FB. Black & Gold!
JDM flare w/mounting bracket and LED flare.
If those bando belts start to slip you should look into gates racing belts, I got mine from amazon for about $50 and it's really good quality. Can't wait to see the JRSC running!

I was planning to run 4 rib on mine, but the clearance was just too tight. I had to notch the frame rail and i just fit the 3 rib one in. Could be my Innovative mounts, could be that mine is DOHC... Just a heads up though.
I'm running 11 psi with a 3 rib belt with no slipping though.
Now get working and be sure to post up some pics after!
Wagon will be going to the shop this Thursday for JRSC fitment test. Once fitment is confirmed motor and tranny will be removed to replace the normal preventative maintenance items all belts, alternator, starter, water pump, oil pump etc. Then partial engine bay shave and paint and finally installation of all my mods I have horded over the past few months. Pictures will be added for everyone's viewing pleasure.

Yeah I think for your set-up DOHC you have to use a 3-rib blower pulley cause of engine design, its a little bit wider then my SOHC so makes sense. What size blower pulley are you running 3in, 3.2in, 3.4in or 3.8in? and what crank pulley combo are you using stock DOHC, B20, Y8 or Z6 to achieve 11psi? What is the part number to the gates belt your talking bout? did you get your M45 blower serviced/rebuilt? Asking cause I finally found a company that stock piled JRSC M45 service parts and I actually talked/got conformation from the owner. I had a hard time finding a company that has replacement parts for Jackson Racing's M45 blower. LMK....
Lots of good stuff happening in here.. Sorry, haven't looked in awhile.
i have two JRSC kits, both different models. The earlier one has an Eaton blower, and the later one is a Magnuson. I never noticed any markings on the manifolds. I forget which pulley is currently on there, but I want to say maybe 3.4"(?). On a stock z6 with original pulley it peaks at 9-10psi.

Nice, that's the kind of info I'm looking for 3.4in blower pulley and Z6 crank pulley nets 9-10psi. If you ever need replacement parts for your M45 or want to have someone who specializes in t-shooting/rebuilding M45's or superchargers in general PSE superchargers is the place. I talked to Edward PSE superchargers owner @(405) 844-2773 and he cleared up a lot of questions I had when I asked him bout someone on NSXprime.com (nsx forum) bashing his technicians/company. Edward said he stock plied a lot of JRSC replacement parts so he has them for days. I also verified with Thomas Stevens(service rep) that Magnuson superchargers only has replacement parts for Gen 4 D16 JRSC and zero stock for Gen 1-3.
Preventative maintenance parts check...
Shout out to @503-hill-billy for these wagon front fenders L & R i just picked up couple hours ago. My current front fenders are wavy a fuck...
Picked up a tall red Honda coffee mug at Ron Tonkin Honda in Portland.
