Really digging what you're doing with the wagon. Dual sunroof idea is badass. Keep up the good work.
  • Found a D16Z6. Going to try to bring it home, tomorrow. Thanks for the comments!

....and I went to the wreckers to pull the D16Z6 and I spotted a shiny line in the front of the block while disconnecting wire and such for removal. Took off the head and noticed that I might not want that engine...

    502.jpg

I ended up taking the head home, anyway. It's in pretty good condition, besides the grime.

    503.jpg

    Already paint 'jobbed' the vc.

    504.jpg

D16Z6 ECU and some mo betta headlights that I refinished with loads of inside black.

    505.jpg

Found these and they snuck into my tool bag...

    506.jpg

    Refinished HB signals.

    507.jpg

This will work on the wagon? Hope so. Seen others with this dope bumper.

    508.jpg

    REALLY clean hood.

    509.jpg
  • Paint and cutting done. Sags on it, but it's wrinkle.......so w/e. :P

The bumper will work but you need the support too. I think. Good progress on the wagon.
  • I have the whole deal for the bumper. Much easier to remove the entire thing rather than just the cover. :P
  • Dirty ass D16Z6 head....Dismantle and cleaning.

Transmissions and such. Transmission mated with a D16Z6 should be an Si trans, no?

    828.jpg

Valve covers. I shaved the timing belt cover off of the bottom one.

Er, You're building the engine on your deck? That looks like it's about 3 feet off the ground?
  • I am. Is a problem?

Nope. I don't even have a deck! Sort of like awe. I was looking at pics and thinking how nice it'd be to sit on the deck and build an engine when I realized it was a raised deck. Started wondering how to get down.
  • The wife and I got it onto the deck.....she didn't like it AT ALL. Getting it down will be a lot more fun, considering the head wasn't on the block when we put it up. Trans was attached, though.

That looks sick dude. You use wrinkle red for the intake mani and valve cover?
  • Indeed. Then 2 hours at 200F for a bake cure. Glad you like it!
  • Bitches. Mmmmm.

  • Head is back together and resealed. Test fitting the D16 head on the D15 block. Looks good to me.
