I just ordered up the last part today its no hi dollar shit but it will get me boosted in the next couple weeks. only doing it like this cuz the woman wants her car boosted someday and i plan on using the cast manifold, turbo, and some other misc parts for her car then. ill have it boosted for the forum event next month unless shit hits the fan.

Well i took this week off cuz im starting a new job next week and i wanted to spend some time gettin things around the house done and spend some time with the kiddo. Also getting the wagon boosted was on my list. tonight i got the bumper and bumper cover all hacked out for the IC to fit. I had to move the IC up about 2 inches to fit a lil better but i think i like where it is now. heres a test fit pic,

not much to look at but i was pretty excited to get a chance to work on it. I have the mani and turbo on but im still in the process of clocking it all just right cuz space is tight and im kinda anal on making sure i get it all just right (if possible) and oil lines run out of the way of things. hoping to have it all wrapped up tomarrow but ya know how shit goes.

thanx still need to hook up my E-brake maybe ill do that tomarrow.

took me all day but i got the down pipe built. I had to mock-up what i could then drive to my buddies house to tack it together then come home and test fit. i had to make 3 trips, pick up my kid, and i managed to get pulled over no ticket thank god.

after dinner and the kiddo go to bed im gunna go back and try to get the rest finished. I need to weld on my BOV flange in the morning so im hoping to get everything but that done and maybe even test drive it tonight.

D-pipe looks sharp. Do you have to pass emissions way over there? Are you just gonna run 3'' piping?

got the oil return line on and all the hardware for the DP on and ran the oil feed line from the turbo to the back of the motor. I was stuffed full of lasagna and tired so i didnt get far. Gotta find someone that doesnt want a ton of money to weld the flange on my charge pipe for my BOV.

hummm lets search for a bolt on style or a short tube with a flange .. MIGHT save a buck on high priced welders..

Im almost there im gunna start calling around tomarrow morning to find a two 90 degree couplers one of them 2 1/2 inches on both ends and the other 2 x 2 1/2 cuz its gunna be way easier to run the charge pipe from the turbo to the IC with these than with just straight couplers. and i kinda ran into a problem...... the wastegate sticks up so dam high i can't close the hood..... my hood has a dent in the front of it anyways so i think im gunna just cut a hole in the hood since im tired of messing with it. when i buy my own welder which will be here in the next couple weeks ill fix the issue myself im tired of having to get others to help me. I would just rock no hood but that will get ya pulled over for sure in WA and not to mention im starting a new job on monday and i dont want to show up with my car lookin hella jacked up.

ok so lay the hood on it and send a pic..!!!
when the motor REVs does the BOV rise or lower.....????
would adding a spacer on the 4 hood to hinge bolts give the little bit to clear it...???

would that hood with the bubble do better...?? is the valve where the bubble would b...???

can u find flanges & weld up something like this
    http://www.amazon.com/OBX-Wastegate-Relocation-Adapter-2-Bolt/dp/B002HOCE6U

one of the LOG manifolds i was buying on EBAY had it with the kit but now i cant find it .. then i found the wicked one i have now ..
  • turbo_tegturbo_teg Council Member
yeah i have a couple thats prolly what ill do. im sure my buddy will be down to help me out one last time. well time to get dressed and on my way to tacoma/seattle to find those couplers no speed shops open till 10-10:30 so im kinda banking on one of them having them.

  • turbo_tegturbo_teg Council Member
i have a WG flange with a 90 degree bend on it already and one spare 38mm flange. it will take a lil work but i think i can make it work.
  • driftin90driftin90 Senior Wagonist
i had to use spacers to raise the hood. actually harry did cause my car has the same problem with the wg hitting the hood.
