Hi !
Here is my 600€ Shuttle !!
It's so used, inside and outside... 215000km, the clutch slide when you hit 3000 rpm... lol
It's rusted, the power steering belt has gone, the paint has gone to, the rear door can't be closed... But I love it !
It needs a lot of work...parts...money .
1988-91 4wd Shuttle are rare here, and when you find one, it's abused and rusted ! And not cheap !? You can't find anything (rusted) below 1000-1500€ .
Mine is cool because it's got powered everything : window + sunroof + side mirrors, and the Air Conditioned !! (a very rare option here).
I want to fixed it, the engine works fine but it overheated when I drove the car to my home (300km). There was a big "BANG" about 15km from my house, and of course a lot of smoke... :? In fact only a little hose blew up ! I changed it and had water, now the engine run fine !
First I'll changed all the belts, water pump and clutch. Then I'll try to pass the French "MOT".
I need a lot of little parts for the interior, some parts are missing, other are cracked...I try to find them used, it's a "project on budget" ! ^^

Thank you very much for the advice, I'll try it !
that's a very very nice
project car indeed...
Yes it's a nice project, but WAOW, even my AE86 wasn't in such a pity state !
I have to clean it from top to bottom, and then it will be easier to find what to do !
I need time... ^^
All the belts + water pump are ordered, and here comes my first question : CLUTCH KIT ?
Please someone can tell me if it's a 200mm or 210mm clutch disc on mine ?
It's a 1990 Shuttle RT4WD and the engine is a D16A7.
Thanks !
I had not yet seen is the same as mine
c'est cool on va pouvoir papoter en frenchy de temps en temps
Here some pictures of my cars :
-92 Civic VTi EG6 :
-99 Accord Type R CH1 (Pirat Black) :
-84 Toyota Corolla GT AE86:
I'm going to change the 86's rims... For the fourth time !
Tomorrow I'm going to work on the Shuttle, I'll post pictures soon.
une fois tout regroupé,çà cartonne 8)
nice collection 8)
I worked on the Shuttle last monday, but too much wind, working on the tail gate was a mess .
Now it shut, but I have to make some adjustements with the latch.
I received a lot of parts, now I need time.
The tailgate shuts, but it needs some adjustments.
I changed the rear silencer for a brand new one from Honda, with the 2 chromed tips, all these parts were not discontinued !
We can't see on the picture but I changed :
-Timing belt + tensioner.
-Water pump.
-The 3 belts (alternator, power steering and AC).
...And 2 or 3 other little things.
I need to changed the clutch disc, I've got all the parts... I need time, it must be long to disconect the trany from the motor.
Christmass Shuttle :
I clean up the entire interior !! It was SOOOOO DIRTY !!! It tooks me a complete day !!!
Now the plastics look brand new, but I'm not satisfied with the seats, I need a stronger stuff to clean them.
Keep Going !
Where do you get your parts from? Local scrapyards?
that accord just made me have to change my pants!
I found 2nd hand parts using the web, forums...
For brandnew parts, my local Honda dealer, and some "asian" parts specialists.
I try to change my clutch disc... It's a MESS !!
Oh, man, that's awesome! If I had a million dollars, I think that would be my first mod.
I took me ALL THE DAY !!
I'm in a pity state .
A lot of things to disconect, unscrew... WOAW, it was endless... I prefer my 86 !! HAHAHAHA !
Tomorow I'll reinstall the trany... lol
Every evening I unscrew some bolts :
Every BBS RS have 30 bolts, It takes about half an hour to unscrew all the bolts from 1 rim !
I'll change the outer lips for 2 inches ones !
A very long job !
I would love to see how this shuttle will end up when you finished it . Seeing the other cars it will be nice I think.
:?
Slowly :
Without the 30 bolts, more than half an hour of labour :
I'm still working on my BBS RS, a long way to go...
The brand new 2' outer lips :
I polished the 4 "hub cap" :
To pull out the old outer lips, you have to use heat gun and a soft hammer.
Now they need a good paint job !
I never managed to rebolt the tranny to the engine, so I decided to pull out the engine... Under the rain...
What a mess, the electrical harness + all the plugs !!!
I keep going...
Just a tip for next time: Leave the engine harness on the engine when you remove it.
Keep at it!!
The trany is finally on the engine !! I try to clean them a little bit before they'll come back to the engine bay... But to much rain !
In the snow, waow, it must be a tough task ! But yes a lot of fun...
les bbs çà defonce!et plutot rare sur shuttle
HAHAHA !
