Two months... what's new with the car? I love this thing...
Thank you, Sir!
Man, this job I have is not paying nearly as much as my previous job. Put it to you this way...I was getting more money via unemployment check than my current bring home pay after taxes.
I had pull alotta resources to pay for the rear visor. It was pricey, but I don't regret it at all.
With all the recession slow down it's really put a damper on my plans for both my CRX and my Wagon(starting to call it a Shuttle now...with the visor n all lol)
I just got an ingalls camber kit for the front. Haven't put it on yet. My woman just got me this really cool bag for Christmas
I also have a SOHC VTEC head that I am thinking about putting on this thing. The wagon is one fat girl, and I think she could use a little extra power on the freeways.
Did a cruise recently and some shots were snapped.
ok i feel kinda dumb but whats that black thing that looks like a bug guard and where can i get one o.0
Its an OEM hood bra. You might still be able to find some new, but likely you'll get them used from forums and ebay. Currently I couldn't find any for sale on H-T or ebay, the last one listed on H-T was in April and went for 150.
Man that bag is so cool. Never in my life did I think I would say that about a bag.
I asked a local friend about the bag and he said dealerships are given certain liberties to put the "Honda" name on accessory items. So the bag is made by Thule, but custom labeled with the Honda logo. So it's not true OEM but it's close enough for me. It's a trash container btw.
Just got done reading the whole thread...great progress from where it started at.
Do you notice your rear windshield not getting as dirty with the visor? Does it have any other benefits (rain, etc.)?
Also, I've tried searching for Jordans at one point for an old EF that I had and I couldn't find a set to save my life. Great job snagging those!
HUGE difference on the rear window. I almost never have to wipe it down now. The only downside is cleaning it after a wash. Gotta dry it fast to avoid hard water spots.
The other advantage is the frost in the mornings. Makes it easier to see rear traffic instead of waiting for the rear defroster to clear it all off.
I love my Jordan wheels, but man are they HEAVY. May switch to RPF1's for the light weight factor alone.
Thanks again for the praise, fellas. Merry Christmas to you all.
Your car looks super awesome, love the OEM wheel choice
Thanks!
Funny thing happened today. I usually run the car til close to empty...well today I pushed it a little too far. I ran outta gas at a cross light. Nearest gas station was about 2 miles away. Nobody I called could come and help me. Then a lady in an Element pulled up behind me, put her hazard lights on and asked if I needed help. Told her I was outta gas and she said "be back in 5 minutes." She didn't even give me a chance to say "No, please don't bother"...nope she just hopped in her car and took off.
5 minutes later she comes back with a gallon of gas!
She lived only a few blocks away and said she had an extra gallon of gas in her garage. While I was puttin gas in the car she fell in love with the shuttle...asking if they are common, what to look for, etc. She said it looked like an older version of the CR-V. I offered her money for the gas and she wouldn't have it. Told me to keep the container too. She had to run and pick up her husband from the airport and she was gone. I was too happy!
Learned 2 things today...
1. Never push the fuel capacity limits of my car.
2. Christmas spirit and random acts of kindness are still alive and well.
When do you think you may put the new head on? I'd love to see some pics of the process if possible.
Well, I am gathering the parts right now. I ran into some bad luck lately. Had some thief try to steal my CRX exhaust, and they cut it with a hacksaw from the frikkin header! Ruined my DC Sports header! Had to have it welded at a muffler shop for now til I get a replacement.
So that threw off a bunch of stuff.
As of right now I have a y8 head, O2 sensor, headgasket, timing belt.
Still need to buy water pump, tensioner, valve cover gasket, ECU and adapter harness for it.
While I am at it, I may just upgrade the header as well. The only header I can think of that would probably fit is the DC sports since the runners don't pop out so far and rub against the fans. But I will have to test fit the header to make sure.
does any kno if the 3rd gen bumper would fit a wag???
I have no idea, but personally I love the oem wagon bumper more than any other bumper mod. Once you fit a nice fat lip on the oem bumper it looks so mean!

That means alot to me comin' from you.
Been in love with your car since I first laid eyes on it.
Front lip = 3rd Gen Honda Accord Accessory Lip(didn't come standard on all accords)
Rear lip = some 90's Volvo.
thanks.
