- rear shoes, cylinders, hard lines, auto adjusters, hardware DRUM BRAKES I HATE YOU!
- some cleaning
- fixed pin-hole coolant leak in a hose
- some paint touch ups. tremclad/rustoleum white always matches up nicely.
- added 320mm steering wheel
- got rid of some more interior stuff that doesn't need to be there. going full commercial.
- rotate tires
491,000kms. 500k here i come, then on to a million.
i added a plush angry birds pig to the mirror, a black ice air freshener, and a ridiculous leopard print seat and steering wheel cover (seat is shredded, and the wheel cover came with the seat cover) it's odd but it looks kinda boss in there.
Tried to bleed my brakes and failed miserabley. Ordered a new master cyl for $24.99 and hopefully that fixes my problem. Yesterday I stuck a weber 32/36 on it and it runs sooooo much better. Now just need to get it to stop! Lol
New si trans
New master cylinder
New clutch and flywheel
Clean it up cause guy I got it from NEVER cleaned it
New rear drum brake assembly 0_o
Wired up the stock radio
Oil change and a good wash
Done
- 1/2 arsed bath and interior detail job
- Sorted out damn hatch rattle
- Swapped out factory wagon visors(one missing, one destroyed) for some stock ED/EF sedan visors
- Put in a frakking fuel pump
^how did you solve the hatch rattle? would love to know a solution!
The lazy fix is to wrap some tape around the hatch latch "U"... It doesn't last but it provides the needed buffer/tolerance decrease to stop the rattle.
The better way is to remove the inside center plastic over the release, loosen the screws and adjust it, as well as latch "U" until the rattle is gone and it's tight like it should be. May take a couple of tries, I couldn't get it to rattle sitting but it would rattle occasionally driving down the road.
- Installed new wiper blades
- Purchased 2 cans of R134a, a new dryer bottle, and R12 -> R134 conversion bungs: Prep for a/c system charge.
- Junk yard hopping yielded a 90-91 Accord armrest, it's in rough shape and it doesn't match the interior but it'll have to do.
is that self etching rattle can primer? looks a lot like my coupe i just painted with it. cool color! wheels looks nice matched as well. now just paint the trim line around the bumpers black again

Installed a vanity mirror on the passenger side visor.
Also, I did not replace it wiht an old LS400 which I'm tempted to do right up to the point I calculate gas mileage when I fill up the wagon...
$600 for a car that gets 35mpg is OK in my book!
