figured i should post my new cargo cover in here too.... i need to figure out a way to get the wagovan bench to lean back, it's insanely uncomfortable and there's a gap that needs to be reduced between it and the cover
and i need to at least hose my car off if not wash it
I went to the bank this morning, to pull out what is to me, a large amount of cash. I plan on going to get my wagon this weekend, to tell her that I love her.
Within the last 2 weeks I've rebuilt the d15b2 with all new rings, bearings, seals, and gaskets. Dropped the gas tank and installed a new pump. Welded up the broken sections of the exhaust. Drove it for the first time in 3 years and followed the piston ring seating procedure on a rural gravel road. Needs a new windshield and tires to pass inspection and I've exhausted the funds for now. Also haven't started a build thread cause no camera. Did get this picture of it on the engine stand.
got b*tched at by my neighbor for squealing my tires, the truck driving redneck couldn't comprehend that when you drive through a puddle while turning on a smooth road the narrow, non redneck tires will squeal no matter how slow you go....
then i cleaned my spark plugs, revved it up to 5k to piss him off more then went around the neighborhood, runs way better.
put 88rt into infinite motion in san marcos ca. Getting the timing belt checked and valves adjusted also transmission flushed and differential fluid changed. I also put in a brand new driver window regulator best 80$ ever because my window is like butter to roll up and down.
Got a fresh ls block, pistons, rings, bearings and crank.
Put on my 2wd(Honda) mudflaps, fixed my steering wheel, fixed my front lip and washed it after 3 weeks of being dirty.
Just went and picked up a set of fat fives yesterday, and I'm pretty pleased with them for what I paid. Does anyone have any recommendations for polish, these wheels need to be cleaned pretty good.
Well, while I technically I didn't give any love to the wagon yesterday, I inadvertently did. I was going to take the wagon to get the a/c fixed today, which I did. Planning for this, I got the mustang ready to drive for when the wagon was getting fixed. On my way home last night, something with the clutch broke, so it will be sitting for a while now and the wagon will be driven permanently when I get it back. Until then, I have to settle with driving my mom's corvette around town (rough life)
today, i replaced the engine oil & filter, transmission oil, and rear diff oil on my rt4wd. i thought she'll be sweet but then i found a small leak on the bottom of her fuel tank. love & hate.
Worked on mine yesterday - getting her ready for a trip to the coast on Tuesday. New filter and Mobile1 full synthetic oil, topped off fluids, checked air pressure, removed rattling heat sheild (very annoying).
I haven't posted here in a while cause I sold my wagon to my "then" girlfriend, but the car's still around because now she's my wife...
I haven't done too much to the car since transferring names, but here it is in full road trip garb. I picked up a brand new Thule fairing and a Thule Sidekick cargo box to go with the 400xt. I was hoping to find an old school fairing and a box of similar vintage, but couldn't find anything in time. I forgot to put on the front lip...
After a five hour drive and lots of bugs we arrived in the Okanagan.

Didn't do too much damage, only the pass fender is dented and scratched the bumper a lil.

Also got new rear lift struts, too.
