Imagine what a crazy sleeper that could have been...

What size rubber is going on that beast?
  • customer friend and photographic genius...

    thanks Big Mike...
nothing from this world can improve any of it...

chance this is gonna be sold as "a" kit...?
    nah... just kidding

Agreed...I didn't see the name of the business up there. Care to share so we can steer clear of douchies?

Build looks great...hope to see big pics and vids to come!

It was one of the workers at AMS. The owner of AMS is a great guy, but his associate was quite rude.

In the spirit of this being a driven vehicle, multiple gauges is not appealing to me at all. That is where the AEM serial gauge comes in. This allows up to 19 user programmable channels, allowing me to see what the AEM Gen 2 6040 sees..and includes 2 pin guides for scrolling through. My parameters of choice:

    Oil pressure
    Fuel pressure
    Oxygen sensor readings
    Boost/vacuum
    Water temp
    Air temp

It also allows 24 multicolored LED lights, with alarms incase things get hairy.

In the name of stealth, I decided to mount it in the centre console...in front of the shifter.

    First hole drilled, for ease:

Now followed up with a 2" hole saw:

    Almost done:

    Voila:

    Now to deburr the unsightly:

    Smooth:

    AEM 30-4300:

    Slid in perfectly:

Now all the way in, and secured from the rear with supplied holder:

    Going back in:

I never thought of mounting the gauge down there. Thats a perfect idea. I love everything about this, since in the future I plan on building a F22/Turbo set up for my wagon. Should be fun. I still love that color, the engine by looks good and clean.
  • sweeet build man. best of luck.
  • Polished IAC valve....SRSLY?

    Tha,
We have tons of parts for F22s on boost. Hit us up, as we can help..with a HCW discount!

    Thanks, Foamy.

How can we run 25-30+psi on unleaded fuel, and ward away damaging pre-ignition/detonation in the process. That is where the AEM water-meth system comes into play. AEM Water/Meth Injection Kits reduce air inlet temperatures which would allow me to increase boost pressure to reach my whp goals by utilizing the cooling effects of the system under heavy load.

The kit include all the elements necessary to do water/methanol injection right, including a standard fluid level sensor for the tank, recirculation-style pump, feature-loaded controller, and complete hardware for installation on practically any gas application.

    579.jpg

A boost-dependent, variable-flow progressive controller allows me to determine the amount of 50/50% water/methanol mixture to feed into the inlet stream from the fluid reservoir. The controller commands a high-pressure, recirculation-style 150-PSI pump that delivers the mixture. Overall flow adjustments at the inlet can made via one of three different-sized supplied jets that are designed to match most engine power requirements. I will use the largest jet, and may end up with a Bisimoto custom jet. This is how I installed mine, at an angle, spraying away from the throttle body. The theory is to have the incoming intake charge "blast" the particulates of the cooling mixture to create better atomization or a finer mist for optimal cooling.

    580.jpg

AEM's recirculation-style pump offers improved performance, reliability and a much smoother, quieter operation when compared to older switched-style pumps.
    581.jpg

With the use of a new internal bypass design, AEM's upgraded pump eliminates erratic on and off switching/pulsing and ensures consistent fluid delivery for optimum performance. This is a pic of where I mounted it in the Bisimoto wagon:
    582.jpg

The bottle was mounted securely on the side panel. Make sure not to overtighten, as you could crack the bottle...or the panel! I used the supplied bolts and lock nuts. Notice the fluid level indicator on the side of the tank?

    583.jpg

I also ran the feed line under the carpet to the engine compartment.

All AEM Water/Methanol controllers include a Boost Safe feature. This feature allows users to retard timing or reduce boost via a ground output if the system runs out of fluid or detects a controller error, ensuring fail-safe operation of the engine whether the system is engaged or not. Rywire used my a/c switch as the activation point for the water/meth system, and sent the boost safe ground wire to the AEM 6040 Gen 2 EMS to switch #1. I programmed the basemap to induce a 19 psi boost cut and a timing retard if the system runs our of fluid, or has an error! Pretty cool.
A pic with the spare tyre cover in place:

Wow man, this thing is gonna be sick!

Any reason you steered clear of the 4wd platform?

    Two reasons,
The rearend would not withstand the abuse. A few have been broken with as little as 350whp.
    I had the 2wd already.

I have a question - on the front of the valve cover there are 2 holes/fittings for what I'm assuming are oil lines - are they feed lines or return lines and what advantage to they pose?

Cools, Yea I know you guys have a lot for F22. My cousin has been itching to get a cam gear from you guys for his turbo F22.
  • what wheel tire setup / suspension are you gona do ? and do you have any full shots of the wagon with the doors on ?
  • "4wd" have been broken

We are field testing it as we speak. Hopefully by xmas. Keep in touch.

Actually, they are breather lines. High boost applications create quite a bit of crankase pressure, and that need to be vented properly for optimal system performance. Without them, combustion components, ring seal and turbo oil drain-back can all be compromised.

The wheels will be of two types:
Old School Japanese, era specific, for the street
Race, streetable, wheels, for the track
Both sets shod with Toyo tires.
Progress suspension is my choice, and that will be covered in the Feb. Issue of SuperStreet Magazine.
Yes, I do have plenty of shots, but I have to give the mags first dibs.

The AEM fuel rail, coupled with the Golden eagle intake manifold placed the AEM fuel pressure regulator's fuel outlet in a postion that would prove difficult to plump the return line. To solve this, Golden eagle has a 90 degree relocation module. This cnc aluminum piece gives a 90 deg redirection of the regulator for an easier line route, in our case:

    663.jpg

After the aforementioned mod, off to Bonaco in Upland the Bisimoto Wagon went, for the full -an hosing treatment:

    664.jpg

    665.jpg

After all the plumbing was done, in went the radiator cooling fluids and Torco TBO 40 Premium break-in oil. Torco TBO is recommended to be run for 30 minutes or longer on new or rebuilt engines for racing, high performance or street applications; extremely good for running in engines prior to switching to synthetic based motor oils:

    666.jpg

Torco TBO Premium Break-in Oil is a blend of hydro-processed petroleum base stocks that clean and prepare new surfaces in our D16Z6 engine. Since the first start up of a new engine is critical to its life expectancy, TBO utilizes specially selected additives in order to protect vital engine parts during the first startup. TBO cleansing agents “scrub down” any contaminants left in new engines from the build process and assure good cleansing of the freshly machined parts. Using protective anti-wear chemistry allows mating surfaces to gently make contact during first new startup.

Torco TBO provides the proper film for new bearing protection and is made to withstand viscosity break down in order to maintain an amazing hydrodynamic wedge. Torco TBO contains a high percentage of “Zinc” anti-wear chemistry for proper valve train and new Bisimoto 3.6 cam break-in protection. I have used the TBO exclusively in all my builds, and the oil drains so dirty after the 1st dyno session, or so. Works impeccably well with less that a 2% ring leak down after less than one hour. I was very skeptical at first a few years ago when I experimented with it, but to my chagrin, it worked/works extremely well!!

    More pics to come!
