  • I'm feel'n this! Keep up the good work!
  • id just like to say that you were only a year late on your finish date :-p

looks great. glad to see its running.
  • only a year late is the story of this wagons life. I went to go roll the fenders the other day, after a couple hours of working on the audi suspension. Fuel pump isn't priming. Got around to checking the main relay today and it checks out. I checked some fuses before looking at the relay and fuse #2 and another one were blown. The only thing I've done with it is messed around swapping ECUs, playing with my chipped ecu and some chips...

I'll do some more troubleshooting this weekend.
  • Ok, so after checking everything over a second time and then a third time with my wife helping/checking my sanity. I decided to trace the 4 obd0 (3 obd1 wires) to the ecu. After checking them out and wiggling on them the car fired right up!

Glad you got it to fire up. Wifes can be helpful every once and awhile lol. Mine likes to help me too, just to learn.
  • So it doesn't look like the 4wd is working. Got the wagon stuck in the middle of my snowy/muddy yard trying to pull it around to the drive way. Ended up using the Audi to pull it out, quattro saves the day! Time to go hose the mud off so I can finally roll the F'ing! fenders!!!11!1one fuck
  • Fender rolling sucked, I am terrible at body work. So today I tackled the lighting issue, tail lights dont work. Front parking lights work, brake lights work, but the tail lights got nothing. Anyone ever had that problem before? To add to the confusion my fog lights only come on when my headlights are off...which is crazy because I ran all the wiring, it's hooked straight to the battery and a switch to ground.....wtf? I am def missing something. Sucks when there is so much time between your work, you forget!

i know i hated hearing this when i had all my issues with lights and sh#* but check grounds/ add more. worked on my ford courier after 3 months of having it lights started messing up and i redid the rear wiring but still nothing and then decided to add some grounds and bingo it worked. same with the wagon had issues with it running and fixed some wiring and added 4 more grounds and it all worked great. grounds are crazy
  • grounds are crazy

that's the only thing in common between the two issues...haha, pun intended.
  • Fog lights are fixed, that was my error, forgot how I had run them, ground switched or positive switched. In any case they are ground switched now and working great.

No tail lights still, I'm not getting power to them, grounds are fine. I half ass traced the wire, it's red/black single silver hash and it looks like it runs up the driver side of the car into the fuse box. From other research it should be tied to fuse #8, which handles all the other parking lights. I jumped it from the access point at the rear seats to the #2 accessory terminal and they work fine, it must be broke somewhere near the fuse box.

Not really sure how I want to go about fixing it yet. Also noticed my one ecu is no longer powering on the fuel pump...wonder if that's an easy fix. Makes me think I should fuse those two ecu power wires that are normally hooked straight to the battery with two 30 amp fuses directly on the positive terminal.

  • straight killin it on the wagon today. decided to run a new wire for the tail lights, we have tail lights now! I get a check engine light about 30 seconds into a drive and I def need to change the head gasket, hopefully that is all.

Pretty sure I am selling it. Was thinking about doing the headgasket last weekend but the other cars and my new bike interest came first.

I do have a headgasket for it, prob going to fix it before I officially post it for sale. Also selling all of my other honda related stuff, tuning gear, itbs and the rest of the turbo stuff off the del sol.

Today I was getting the garage cleaned up so that I could begin the headgasket. I took the car out for a little cruise first, to warm everything up. I'm glad I did because it doesn't need a headgasket :) So I spent the time checking the CEL im getting, code 17, VSS. I put the rest of the interior wiring back together and the dash is all buttoned up now with the passenger seat back in. I also put the side skirts on it.

    Found a really good thread on the VSS with a obd0 to 1 swap: http://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.ph ... 736&page=4

This isn't the first odd wiring problem I've had with this car so it's no surprise. I wiggled the connectors around a bit w/o much luck.

what raceland setup you running? when I look at their site, there is only a set for an ep3 civic
  • kyle h.kyle h. Wagonist
originally they offered a 89-2000 civic setup, I think they've been out of stock for a while. I am not using the original springs that came with the setup. I could even use a lighter spring in the rear.

I've needed to update this thing for a long time with photos. Just a quick couple of shots, lighting and location was far from optimal and it needs cleaned bad! Many years of garage dust and dirt on it. I sprayed the hood a couple months ago to test out a color I had thought might look good on it, and as soon as it dried I decided it was the color for the wagon.

The wagon has half officially been traded. I traded for a 1990 VW Corrado G60 from a guy named David out of NC. We met half way, both cars made it there, both cars made it half way home before needing towed :) It was an awesome day, will not forget.

I say half officially because we need to swap titles yet. I made an attempt to talk him into signing up on here and continuing his build thread. Sounds like he's got lots of great plans for it. Fingers crossed that the engine didn't lock up on him, but from the messages I got it doesn't sound good.

The day started off with me getting pulled over for 'speeding' within 3 miles of my house. Thank god I had all my paperwork in order, car wasn't registered (using a VA trip permit) and I had just put it on insurance 5 minutes prior. She left me off with a warning. I'm pretty sure she just profiled the vehicle, because there was no way I was speeding. Filled the wagon up and headed for the 95. Cruised 95 through Richmond and ran into 2 minutes of traffic. It was a hot day for no a/c. Car ran great the whole way down. We drove each others cars around where we met and did the paperwork and were on our ways. The VW was pretty compliant on the highway but seemed to get less manageable throttle wise the further (warmer?) it got. Eventually we hit stop and go traffic in Richmond around 2:00 to 2:30 and it died on me in the middle lane. I got it started in about 2 minutes as a state trooper came rolling through with his lights on. I moved over to the shoulder lane and eventually it died on me again, but this time I was able to get off the road. I limped it off the highway and sat through a couple lights as it would stall just as I was trying to pull away from the light. I felt bad for delaying everyone, but no one honked or yelled as I would have expected. Eventually I found a parking lot and put my AAA to use. While on the phone with AAA I got a text from David saying the wagon had stopped running and they were on the side of the road calling for a tow truck too! There wasn't anything to do but laugh. We waited an hour or two for the tow truck and eventually got home at 8:00. Great day!

    Wow ....
thats nuts.... both ended up on tow trucks....

G60 nice, my sister in law has a G60 that is pretty sweet. Keep an eye on that supercharger though. I'd say that swap was pretty fair both ways. I just sold my last German car but a Corrado would make me change my mind.
