Comments
git er done...
car looks pretty fresh from what i can see....
i love red wagons...
I'm thinking about painting it satin red, or matte red, whichever you prefer.
They are from a honda 959, w/ a hacked up obx intake manifold.
thanks for all the comments everyone!
do it your self paint job?
macco?
or proffessional business?
either way- its hard to make a wagon look unattractive..8) ...
I lost the camera a few days back and finally was able to get a locate on it.
I'll be picking it up tonight possibly. And I also ordered a header.
Worked on the ITBs a bit last week.
Started snowing today.
More pictures soon I promise
can't wait to move into the house...
I have the K-Sport coilovers with 2K spring upgrade (same as 94-00 Intrgra and 92-95 civic) and its pretty bouncy. I got it cuz I have a B16 swap thats about to be turbo in my wagon, but its pretty hard on the gut...
overall I like the K-Sports ($550 on H-T!!) but they are bouncy w/ the Teg rate springs... I would like to take a ride in a civic/ crx w/ the basic rates to see the difference.
my set up is not harsh at all, just bouncy on these crap ass NJ roads.
hope this hepled a little ...
Hank
ps nice tuck!
Mine rides pretty good with my civic spring rates, but never tried integras, originally I wanted to know if someones actually compared them.
Moved into the house, the garage isn't moved yet though...
and then it snowed some more, delaying the moving of the wagon and the old garage.
updates... I bought a range rover, sold the jeep, got some things done with the house, started some yard work, put some lights up in the garage, installed tire changer... somehow the wagon didn't work it's way into the mix lately.
although I have plans to work on it tonight!
I'm almost done making the adapter plate for the velocity stacks on the itbs. I need to touch up the holes a bit.
I tore apart a d15b2 block I had to inspect it. I think I might end up replacing the main bearings and leaving it at that. Get my a6 (cam) head milled down a bit and throw it together. Also have a friend trying to sell me a dohc zc, but my itb manifold wont fit it, and I have a lot of time into it...
Opinions?
Don't mind the messy garage, still moving things around and getting shit organized.
Congrats on the house!
When I bought my wagon it had stock shocks and Civic Nuespeed springs. Way too low and too soft. Car rode on what was left of the bumpstops all day long. I quickly purchased Koni yellows, raised the spring perches to the top ring, and hoped for the best. The rates were still too soft for the drop and I constantly bottomed out.
I bought some DA Pro Kits, dropped the rear perch to the bottom and the front perch to the middle. The car rides much better - firm but not harsh, though the rears still bottom when the spring completely compresses. (no bump stop contact). The rates are still a little soft, particularly in the rear with the progressive rate set-up.
I have GC tophats on the way and the OTS (350/250) GC kit waiting to go on. I'll drop the car a little (currently looks like stock ride height for FWD) and finally enjoy linear spring rates and hopefully no bottoming.
BTW, I commute 110 miles/day via mostly back roads, so my car gets a workout everyday!
Good luck with your project!
Chris
Just trying to build a simple daily driver.
where did all the wires go!?
oh theres some.
and theres the rest
Got some of the tuck sorted out. Made more progress, but not very many pictures.
some better pictures I got.
Not many updates, just working on the wire tuck a bit, lining up the itbs etc... Need to buy some tools before I make some more progress.
Friday before memorial day, a 4 liter wine jug I had in my hand broke and the bottom fell on my left foot. 4" incision 1" deep. I got 20 stitches, 5 inside, 15 outside.
Today I actually got the rest of the stitches removed. So I'm onto recovery!
enough talk, on with the pics!
cleaning up the b2 block I'll be using.
I've got it painted flat black right now. Waiting to buy some parts to reassemble this engine, need to take a head to the machine shop, and get some obd1 stuff yet.
arrrrggggh, I hate crutches.
Just got done unloading a z6 I picked up yesterday. Should have it running soon!
Pics tonight maybe.
