rti intrac build

i know i'm doubling up a bit here but here goes
When i got my wagon it was bone stock but with a dead clutch and clutch pedal.
what stared as a clutch swap ended in a d16a vtec swap.

now my goodies include

excedy clutch pressure plate (30% stiffer)
replacement clutch
Lightened flywheel 12lbs I think?
9mm HT leads
platnum spart plugs (cost price FTW)
simota intake + some old tubing i had lieing around.
98 spec integra type r gearnob (scored for free off a mate
random mags i have painted black.
New exhaust. its not too loud but just right
I have some clear indicator lights i just need to install them.
EF3 si lip
EF3 NZDM glass headlights

I have some brand new neuspeed springs still in their box i scored offa mate for 250 NZD, just on the hunt for some shocks.
I'm looking at some 15" dished mags for it too, what do you guys think of them?
and lastly i would like to get some crx bucket seats for it.

First pics are as i got it and pics to come of last nights photos

it climbs up the shock tower, then drops back the opposite way.

If thats a Simota Intake then I managed to make mine fit, just had to trim the silicon joiner that goes onto the throttle body about 5mm, then used the brace that came wit it to hold up the filter end by bending it so its went under the hose clamp then towards the front of the car where it was bolted under a relay or something behind the headlight.

Do those NZDM headlights make a difference? Im sick of my ones turning yellow :x

Yes they make a AMAZING difference they have the H1 high beam also but even without them its sooo much better.
Yes it is a simote intake but the filter doesn't clear the headlights as they are the twin bulb thats why its on the piss.

Do you know where i can get soem koni shocks from? I have emailed hte supplier but haven't recieved anything back from them.

Pics will be up when i get a camera or time to scab one off a mate

Ahh I see what you mean with the filter then.

I got my shocks off trademe for just over $300 8)

I contacted Stocks in Auckland I think it was to get some new crush collars via email and the guy was awesome to deal with, didnt even charge me for them!

    Hi there,

There has been a few changes in the parts numbers from the ones you have
    given.

Front: 8041 1200sport $332.71+GST each we have these in stock and they
    are externally adjustable

Rear: 8040 1078sport $319.16+GST each these are due to arrive on the
26th off this month and these are internally adjustable.

:o  More than i'm willing to spend

Quote from koni nz.. BUT I found some mugen shocks and springs :)|

Its funny, my shocks are the oppsote of those, front are only internally adjustable, rear are external.

Mugen ones would be good, but with Koni you would have more adjustment as they have adjustable platforms
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
I'd love to get th konis but its way to expensive...

I'll see how the mugen ones go and ill have to decide what springs to keep... brand new neuspeeds or the mugens..

Oh and got a WOF today woot

    Rego tomorrow :)

and this weekend ill get started on my obd1 swap
  • NZ-DB8RNZ-DB8R Moderator
If you use the mugens I will buy the nuespeeds!
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
haha how much are you offering?

:( I havent ben paid my wages for the last two weeks so i'm not happy at the moment....
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
Shocks are on hold as i need to get a new set of tires and a alignment and balance done. went for a drive this weekend and it starts shaking pretty bad at motorway speeds. I also found out it has a speed beeper at 105+ Kph I didn't know it did at first.. thought it was my phone beeping haha...

After its low i'll get some better sounds :)

Something along the lines of 2 12" subs in a box powered by a couple of v12 amps :) and some nice components up front. I have the same 6x9's as NZ-DB8R so i'll have to fab up a parcel tray for the back.

(i'm making the most of my perks at work)

Oh and ill try get some new pics this week
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
Got some pics of my clear indicators and new mags

  • ^^^ Did your car have squirters for the front lights? is that what those square cutouts are for on the top of your bumper?
  • HaydzHaydz Moderator

  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist

  • dalowdadalowda New Wagonist

  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
hey man if you are willing to pay the shipping i can get you some clear corners. there are heaps here. the fenders will be a difficult thing to get up there. I want to get it all straight and no dents etc but I guess ill just live with it.
