Got mine to turn over today! I'm relieved and stoked. Have you been able to tinker with yours?
  • nice! congrats haha, so it is running now?
no not yet, i've been too busy. i'll hopefully do it soon.

Not running yet but closer to it running than I've been. I have no spark and hopefully just need a ignitor like you. HOPEFULLY! lol
I ordered an ecu the other day too, chipped so hope that comes in soon.
  • haha yeah. well good luck man!
will the igniter help the RPMs from going straight up to 4k and staying?
I wouldn't think so but you seem to know more than I do xP

If you got the right ecu for it now, it should run better. Follow the list that I sent you and try process of elimination.
  • yeah i got an 91 si crx ecu. and yeah i'll try it when i get the chance. hopefully this week.
  • I wanted to make sure I have a few things in order, I had a couple of friends tell me that the problem could be a vacuum problem. So I took some pictures and if you could tell me if I have things in the right place that'd be awesome (I did everything off the top of my head and tried to look up diagrams but they were a little different)

This is the AIT sensor right?

Wanted to make sure this was the right plug as well..

it seems like that 3rd picture... those suppose to be a vaccum sensor or a vaccum line there...

    where in the 3rd picture?

That nipple on the top left hand side
  • That nipple on the top left hand side

I dont see one without a hose on it. Are you talking about the one next to one of the red hoses? cause that is a bent one and the red hose is connected to it.
  • unlimited02unlimited02 Senior Wagonist
No it's one the back side of the intake manifold closest to the master cylinder there's a nipple that's sticking out
  • No it's one the back side of the intake manifold closest to the master cylinder there's a nipple that's sticking out

oh the top right hand side lol.
I'll have to look at that except i don't know what could go there cause there isn't anymore hoses lol.
  • I would plug your map sensor to it instead of the top of the throttle body
  • unlimited02unlimited02 Senior Wagonist
yea u can run some T's to the sensor on the fire wall... b/c they all just need vaccum...

    okay i'll try that.
  • I had my friend look at it and it was my IAC sensor i think cause when we had it unplugged it would idle bog and then when we plugged it in and it went straight to redline (so i think it was stuck open or closed). So i put in my z6 manifold and put the hoses everywhere and now it tries to turn over and just goes click click click like its the starter again. So i'm gonna have it checked and hopefully it'll work. UGH.
  • so went and changed the z6 mani and got the tester starter (it was good), found out my battery was almost dead so I re-charged it. Went to go turn it over and it still does it!
Except it goes even higher now! omgg this is so frustrating! lol One thing after another with this car and I haven't even been able to sit and drive in it lol.

Could this be a problem caused from an error in my dpfi to mpfi swap?
Like maybe i put a wire were it wasn't supposed to go causing my IAC sensor to be wide open all the time or closed all the time?
  • Got the rest of my order from wek sos.

    Got my mounts
    504.jpg

And then my front camber kit.

and still no luck on the idling/starting problem -___-

Sorry I haven't been able to help. I've been doing A LOT of shopping lately. Hop on for about 5 minutes and than I'm out again. Have you checked for any leaks? Air/vacuum leaks can play a major factor in this. When it runs, it idles high right? While it's running spray so carb cleaner or brake cleaner in the intake manifold gasket area and check for leaks their. Also check all your vacuum lines to make sure that they are connected and in the proper areas.
  • thank jdm haha its all good i know holidays can be hectic xD. Do you have any vacuum diagrams for the wagon?

  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Dude, sorry to hear that. How long are they gonna hold it before you can get it out?
  • my old d16a6 threw rod, so i decided to throw in the bay d16y7
