hmm know anyone with one? lol
Yeah well i'll need the jumper harness for the z6 i'll be puttin in later.
Would i just be able to use the jumper and then not worry about all the other wiring for like the o2 sensor and what not?
One more thing, I wouldn't worry about codes until you get the proper ecu for the motor. If you're using the stock PM5 ecu, which is the one that came with the car, than it won't work. Try a PM6 if you can get ahold of one and than check for codes and what not.
PM6 is going to be the one that you are going to need. I was asking around and nobody had a clue what a PM9 ecu was. Than I checked the internet, good ol google, and found out that the PM9 is a 4 speed OBD0 Multi point ecu. No good for your set up. I'll be on the look out for a PM6 and let you know.
Oh yeah that one will work. $40 is kinda steep though, hit him up and see if he'll do it for that price including shipping. My old ones sold for $30 and that included shipping. The 90-91 will be better if you plan on doing some "performance" mods to the motor later. The 90-91 are easier to chip than the 88-89 for some reason. Hope this helps
Glad I could help. It should fire right up after you plug in the proper ecu. keep me updated on whats going on with it. You need anything else just hit me up and if I don't have an answer I'll get one.
got another one for ya jdmwago! lol
So i turned it over and it starts! buuuut.. lol
it went straight to 4500 rpms and stayed.
I switched the tps wires like i was supposed to, just for shits and gigles i even switched it back and no difference.
I loosed my throttle cable and nothing changed.
Also i figured out my passenger side rear break is stuck.. lol
I just need a car already, weather is getting horrible for biking xP
Things to check:
1. Igniter
2. Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve-- warm up car, disconnect IAC 2P connector and adjust to 470 rpm, reconnect the 2P connector on the IAC Valve, and remove 7.5 A backup fuse in the under-hood fuse box for 10 seconds. Final idle speed should be around 700 rpm.
3. ECU
For the most part just check and or change the IAC. Try this and let me know what happens.
How to I check the igniter? And I can't warm up the car, or more of I'm scared to cause it just sits at redlne the whole time and don't want to damage the motor.
Is the 2p connector mean like 2 prong? And how would I adjust to 470rpms through a plug
Sorry I'm pretty noob haha more detail would be awesome haha sorry to be a pain :P
The ignitor is in the distributor. All Honda ignitors are the same 88-00. It's easy to change out, take the cap off the dizzy and on the side you'll see two screws. The two screws are holding the ignitor in place and it has I think 4 plugs. try that first, did you use the stock dizzy? How many wires are in the dizzy plug? It should be 7 and round. If you have 5 and its kinda square than its the wrong one. Hope this helps.
air fresheners, blox LCA, Wiked Tuning rear camber kit, and 8k HID's.
Got one more box for the front camber kit and another air freshener (for a friend)
and then one more package for my z6 bottom end kit!
Asnamasn: Dude you're stealing my set up! I have purple Blox LCAs and 8k hids. Front and rear Camber kit. LOL how'd everything go with the ignitor and stuff? You know you didn't need the rear camber kit, you could've used spacers and longer bolts to fix the rear. I found that out after I bought mine.
Jon: I've heard a lot of bad news about the Blox LCAs and I can't say that I agree. I've had mine for awhile now and they're still good. My buddy has had his for almost two years, his are good, and he runs his car ALL the time for time trials

haha sorry bro! xD i haven't had time to check, been really busy and it started snowing so i don't know when i'll be able to work on it agian. My friend is borrowing the wheels until he can buy some of his own and then we are cleaning out his garage to use it as a show seeing Oregon weather suuuucks haha.
I'm right there with you with the weather. Your Oregon weather comes right over here to Idaho so I'm on the same boat you are. I just gotta wait til the snow gets off my car so I can bring it in the garage. Than I got wiring issues to work through. lol
I went through weksos, got a good deal with him. I can get them for 65 from a local dealer here and they're like the same thing. If you want i can pick some up for you and you can send me money for them plus shipping if you want.
