EGR valve for an automatic. Just swap to your old manifold
  • I don't have another intake manifold that is mpfi. Do i HAVE to have this plugged in to work?
I had a feeling this was an auto. damn lol.

also, would a z6 mani work? i don't think so huh? lol
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
A Z6 mani will work but I asked and a buddie of mine and he told me to just plug it. I have the same thing on mine and he told me to just plug it up, if you want to do it that way. Sorry for being late on the response.
  • lol its fine. Well when I combined the harnesses i didn't put the EGR valve onto the dpfi harness. So I guess I'll just let it sit?
I replaced the starter and it fired up! But it sputters a little, so I might have to change out the 2 wires on the distributor; we will see.
My friend also got my some service manuals from his auto tech class so if you guys need diagrams of anything electrical or just anything about a 90 or so wagon I got it! And i'll scan if necessary.book is huuuge O_O

Also spent a lot of money for wagon stuff.. sooo biiiiiiiig update hopefully later this week! :D

Can't wait for the update. Wanna see everything done to it that you got for it. Send me the link when you do the update.
  • haha will do, thanks for the help mann.
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Anytime. If I don't have an answer I'll get you one. lol
  • haha sweet, would any 91 civic head light and corner light fit a wagon?
  • headlight yes
corner light is wagon only i believe
  • alright, thanks dirtydirty.
  • So went to drop the wagon on the ground and push it to my friends house around the corner and it wouldn't budge.. I think one of the breaks is stuck? I don't know how to get it unstuck any suggestions? Lol

I would change the title and remove the "need help please read" part but I don't see an edit or pm button anymore. Anyone else experiencing this?
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
I think everyone is having problems with new threads and editing right now. Don't know if it's been fixed yet. I just read about the headlight and corner light questions. The headlight will work but the corner lights will not. The only other Honda corner light that will work one the wagon is the same year CRX. 88-89 crx work for 88-89 wagon and the 90-91 crx work for 90-91 wagon. As for the brakes I would try and jack it up to see which one is the one that is stuck. Be careful when removing the rear drums because if something is broken and causing it to get stuck than it might pop out when removing the drum. I'm just saying to take extra precautions when working with something that uses a spring. Hope this helps.
  • haha yeah.
well another day without the wagon.. the headers from the d15b2 wont fit the d15b6 -____-' I thought it was a few brackets so i took a hacksaw to it
and took them off but i think the whole pipe is hitting the oil pan. I don't know what to do! ahhh! haha.
Went to turn it over and it wouldn't keep an idle. Will figure out the headers then try again.

You throwing any codes? Check your ECU for any codes. That's what I would do.

awesome the buttons are back xP
Anyways, when i plug the wire into the blue plug and turn from ignition 1 to 2 nothing happens all the lights come on and stay on.
So i think that means no codes?
  • Package came today!

one of the next few to come in within the week. Can you guess what is inside? :D

    YAY COILOVERS! :D

probably crazy spending money in a car that doesn't work. But hey, its my little wagon :)
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Pull the carpet from the passenger side, at the bottom. That's where the ECU is. Than when the car is on(not the motor) you'll see a little red light IF you have any codes. Count the number of times the light flashes and that is the code that you are throwing. BTW nice coilover set.
  • There was no flashing.. it turns over just no start.. any ideas?
  • unlimited02unlimited02 Senior Wagonist
u got fuel...? u got spark? is ur mail relay clicking on n off? u check for important fuses to make sure there all in place? is the ecu still good..? dizzy still strong?
  • yeah pretty sure i got spark and feul and the ECU should be fine. I'll check the fuses when i can and how do you check your main relay?
(i'll look that up on hondatech or something)

also i got it to go a little bit but just bogs between 2 and 300 rpms. I think i've heard of the problem but can't remember what it was from.
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
For the main relay you should hear it when you turn the ignition on. Pull a spark plug wire and hold it to the valve cover when you turn the car on and you'll see the spark.(thats how to check for spark) As for the bogging, I don't know how to check for that. Sorry.
  • unlimited02unlimited02 Senior Wagonist
thats correct pull out the spark plug and check the spark... but the spark has to be strong... and u can tell how bright it is and the width...
  • I was looking at the CEL light for flashing but now I see the reason for the clear box on the exu xD
So got 10 flahes. Pretty sure thee is a sticky on here with codes. Ill look it up soon. Just needed to put it down somewhere to remind myself :P
  • so code 10 is a Intake Air Temperature Sensor. Wouldn't think this would stop it from starting though now would it?
  • it might
if the sensor is blown and telling the motor its like -250C or +160F it could be making it go insane
  • oh yeahh true true. i'll look at it or something. is that he one behind the intake mani? or on the side?
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
There is a thread on here about all the codes and "how to" with all of them. I was looking through here for the very same code the other day cuz a friend of mine has that one and code 13. For him, turns out he didn't plug in the sensors under the intake mani all the way. It will not start because of this issue but I think the sensor is behind the mani. Hope this helps.
  • thanks much once again, tomorrow if its not raining my friend is gonna help me put the coilovers on so we will see how that goes. Hopefully i can get the dang thing to start! lol. Thanks again!
and if you haven't found it yet jdmwago666 its under the electronics one and i think its the first one that says what engine codes really mean.

so there is what is happening now. I think I need an mpfi ecu.. I forgot i didn't have one. so anyone that has one, would you be able to sell it to me?
or could i run an obd1 ecu with a jumper harness and call it good? (thats what one of my friends was saying anyway)
Let me know if you guys have any ideas.
(connected the IAT sensor but still showin a code for it. Haven't reset the ecu for it though xP
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
You need a PM6 ecu for it. I think you are able to use the obd1 but don't qoute me on that. it'll be cheaper to just find a PM6 instead of buying and wiring and jumper harness for the obd1.
