So to keep motivated with my build, I've decided to do a VLOG. Camera shy and nervous - it keeps me motivated. Buy wanting to document the builds progress with video as well as pictures, it motivates me to build the wagon, in turn motivating me to do the VLOG - Yeah...

(Before anyone hates - I've called this wagon "Wagon Attack" For years now as in "Time Attack" - Not to be confused with Matts Awesome Wagon Attack Videos)

  • Sucks about the rust, but hey atleast your fixing it now so it doesn't keep on growing and becoming worse.

Removed the fuel lines in a single piece.

There was lots of seam sealer around the rot, so i used a grinder with a wire wheel and got rid of it all. Since it was in Minus figures temperature wise at the unit today, i used the cold weather to remove the all the sound deadening.

Started prepping the engine bay aswell. bought a Mini DA Sander that uses 2" Discs, making working on the engine bay a breeze!

And all tucked up till next weekend...
    423.jpg

Have made some new plans with the wagon now - I wanted it ready for Dyno Weekender in march - But that isn't going to happen as i feel i would be rushing the build.

Will be using an ITR Master cylinder and booster, and converting all the brake lines to AN3 and tucking them behind the dash. I know its expensive - But i cannot find the Metric fittings i want for the bulkhead fittings (Tee and Elbow). these are readily available in AN Fittings. So will be hidden bling...

Here is a schematic I made.
    10891451_317507328439445_4285626147216107670_n.png?oh=6924acadd16974259f5c93489d7a0188&oe=54FA77F8

And I'm thinking of playing with the fuel feed line as well. as space is tight with the supercharger for the OEM Fuel line as it is. I had bought a compression olive fitting to convert the OE line to AN Fittings using a remote filter, But I think I'm going to do it this way as pictured below using a swept 90 degree bulkhead fitting. This will allow the fuel line to protrude slightly from the bulkhead, allowing me to use a 90 elbow right off the firewall to make things a little tidier. (although I'm thinking of binning the stainless hose as pictured. and just re-flaring the OE Fuel line right into the firewall.

  • Love tucking the brake lines/MC behind the dash idea. I'm doing this to my hotrod and I will be keeping an eye on this to see how it comes out in the Wagon. :encouragement:

Man just so you know, these episodes are an inspiration to keep on working and spending money on a wagon that has been sitting as a project car for more then a year now.

also test fitted 300mm EP3 front brakes on VT Hubs. Direct bolt on, and they fit under 15" Rotas which is a bonus! There is roughly 4-5mm clearence at the closest point.

attached the drivers side inner arch with a wire wheel on my grinder just to check for any more rust before it goes to Joe. Lukily there was None.

Prepping it for moving the next day.
