Which concert? The Eagles are playing tonight. I wish I had tickets. I'm about 5 minutes off the route from the border by Blaine to Vancouver, just across the border.
I bugged the crap out of Larry (Endyn), and paid a sizable deposit (100%) and then waited patiently for him to complete the kits. I guess he got enough people to pay in advance that he went ahead and produced 8 of them. I'm not 100% sure why he never made more than that 1st batch of 8.
Thanks for all the props guys. I've had a lot of fun building this. I can't wait to be finished.

I'm sure you understand the epicness of owning one of those kits. I hope the noobs to the Honda scene can fathom it at some point. It's like owning a unicorn.
Well I've been messing with engine management for the last week or 2, working out some bugs, getting my AEM water injection running, and doing my best to avoid the po-po and not go deaf. I haven't finished the exhaust yet. There's a 3" high performance cat, 3" x 18" resonator and a 3" x 14" Coast Fab racing muffler, and it's still waayyy too f-ing loud. I still have to run the tubing in and around the rear subframe, suspension, etc... and into the large Magnaflow baffled muffler. I really, really hope that quiets it down substantially.
Now for the best news so far: I've finally gotten things worked out enough that I was ready to "give'er!". I did a bit of a blast in 2nd and 3rd gear: 8,000 and full throttle in 2nd saw 20 psi and a pretty good push in the backside, and then 3rd to 7,000, 20 psi again, and the same push. Guess what? The transfer case is still in 1 piece! I'm not garanteeing that it'll stay together forever, especially since I have no idea how good the tune is so far, and how much more power I'm going to make (I'm certain I'll make more), but so far so good.
Oh, and about 1/4 mile after I let off that 3rd gear pull, I cruised past a driveway in which a police cruiser was parked (rural road) facing the road, with the officer sitting in the driver's seat. He didn't even look up to see me pass (feww!).
I haven't "really" pushed it in the corners yet, because I still have to do some more fender cutting and welding in the back (the left rear rubs pretty hard when I push it), but all initial feelings are that it handles at least as well as it ever did as a FWD. Oh, and that's with no sway bars or any sort of alignment other than "that looks pretty close".
Tonight I made some 11's. Sorry, no videos. I bailed out of work early. The sun was out. I went to the local "drag strip". I rolled off in 1st to about 5 mph and dumped the throttle. The back tires lit up instantly. I held it to about 40mph and shifted into 2nd. They hooked up and off I went. I took it to about 95 mph in 3rd and backed off. Cruised for about a minute, turned around and did it again. As far as I can tell, the transfer case and the rear diff are still in 1 piece. I drove it home (about 15 minutes including the highway) without incident. I also beat it a tiny bit more on the way.
Sorry man, it wasn't a drag strip in the literal sense. It's a local "rural" setting where there's been night time drags going on for years. I just chose to use it in daylight.
I'll see what I can do about getting a video or 2 sometime in the next couple weeks.
haha i thought when u said "drag strip" maybe u ment some old run down ghetto place haha. Its so strange ive met jaker a few times and talked with him on the phone as well and i just cant see him in his wagon on some side road getyin nutty in a sc'd RWD wagon.... it would be kinda like if your dad hopped in your wagon hot lapped her and came into the driveway sideways.... I think we can just blame canada. And yes to vids just dont show off to much and end up in the ditch....
Got the exhaust finished. F-ck! It took me 3 days. My welding skills are rusty, and I don't think I had the welder set correctly. Anyways it's done and the car is much quieter now (but still a bit too loud). I needed to push up the floor a little in the spare tire well to make room for the exhaust to go up over the subframe. There's no room for it to go above the LCA because of the rear axles, and I certainly didn't want a 3" pipe passing below (can you say scrape, scrape?). I also had to cut and hammer some unibody metal around where the toe control link would normally attach (As you can see in the photos, I don't use that part of my suspension.). Certainly not as pretty as what John at LHT would have done for me, but I am a little tight for cash right now, had the tools and most of the skills needed, so decided to save myself $400-500, and do it myself. Plus Florida is pretty far away from here.
I also had my buddy take a small video of a 1st gear burn. It wasn't that great (the video). The supercharger is so loud, you can't hear the tires spinning. That's as good as it gets for now. The fail on the 1st try was an attempt to launch in 3rd gear (doh!). Oh, and I popped the lead of the starter solenoid. That's what "broke". I've beat on the transfer case pretty hard for the last couple days. Today alone, I launched in 1st gear pretty hard at least 8-9 times, each time pounding into 2nd and 3rd. Still have my fingers crossed, but so far so good!
I also got an alignment today. I was pretty close to begin with. The toe was off, but the camber was pretty even from side to side, and the caster was bang on. Now things are bang on the money.
Damn dude that thing is incredible. The best looking wagon I've ever seen, bar-none. This is what I have visioned for my wagon one day, something super sick and unsuspecting. Great video too, but too short lol
It pretty much hits 14-15psi the second I open the throttle more than 90%, and by the time I hit 5,000 it's at 20psi and stays there to the red line. I've rev limited it to 9,500, but plan on shifting at 9,000. It's been there in 1st gear a bunch of times already.
I may drive out to the show and shine, but I won't be displaying. It's not really my scene.
Thanks for all the props guys. So far it's been a labour of love. I've got a bunch more things to do before it's "done", and some of those things need done before it's ready to autocross.

Good deal, that thing looks like it was made for the WTR...lol Quality work like always. Great job man.

Yuuuuup!
Either Vancouver, BC or San Francisco... hopefully I'll decide this week.
jaker we should go on a wagon cruise next weekend?

I won't be able to go on any cruises until I get the rest of the exhaust done. It's just too f-ing loud right now.

Ill have to make a trip out soon to see the car!
very interested to see how it handles.
That is all
Things are looking up! I have my fingers crossed.
Good news man. Following with interest.
