    Thanks for the post!
  • Another fact is that there's only 88-89 wagon RT4WD in Canada, 90-91 was only offered with 1.5L front wheel drive

just take a look in the 90-91 canadian brochure and try to find the RT4wd trim, you are very lucky to have 4 years of RT production in USA!!

someone said 4th gen was only 88-89. so does that make 90-91 5th gen? sorry if its a dumb question but im new to hondas and tying to learn.
  • HaydzHaydz Moderator
Clearly if you had read the first post you would know the answer to that.
  • natetattoonatetattoo Band Wagon
woops sorry went back and re read it, got it now! i got confused on the 4th gen wagovan only being made 88-89

    USDM = 88-91
    EDM/JDM = 88-96

    For clarification.

UK are only 88-91, not sure about the rest of Europe, but yeh, JDM is until 96
  • HaydzHaydz Moderator
I thought the UK got the Beagle too?

    Nope, that's JDM EF5

    We only got two types:

    EE1 GL (D14A1)
    EE4 4WD (D16A7)

And only two types of Mk1 too IIRC.
  • Mexico also got the Beagle! :D
  • Marc_EE9Marc_EE9 Senior Wagonist
They also got the VW Beetle

    MDM yo!

My '91 wagon doesn't have A/C. Neither does my boyfriends' '91 RT4WD. Maybe different market areas had different options. Here in Wisconsin, a lot of people don't care much about A/C.

getting a car that comes up with out amenities that are normal for your area are called grey market. grey market is when certain areas came up short for certain models and those models may have been shipped in from a foreign areas.you have to check the chassis codes and that will tell you where the car is from
  • Thank you for the info! Things are much more clear now.
  • Great info this is so helpful
  • I have a 91 fwd that has a 4 spd manual transmission DPI.
It seams that wagons did not ever come with 4spds so I would think the engine and transmission has been swapped from something else?
The engine is stamped D15B so not sure which engine model I have either trying to figure it out so any help would be appreciated!
  • HaydzHaydz Moderator
If the stamp only says 'D15B' then that sounds more like a JDM longblock with maybe the USDM D15B2 intake, electrics... but not 100% on that.

I think you are correct on this from what I have seen just wanted to double check since I am learning all this as I go.
So are these the specs for that motor?

    D15B

    EE2 = DX wagon
    EY2(or 3??)= Wagovan

Wagovan = base model with vinyl seats, no clock, no folding bench seat, etc.
DX = "deluxe" model with cloth seats, split folding bench w/ headrests, clock, etc....

4th gen wagovans were only made from 88-89.

Yep... EY3 is the chassis code for the Wagovan.
  • Marc_EE9Marc_EE9 Senior Wagonist
    its EY2
