A new day brings new challenges. First off, It pains me to see my wagon in piles of parts scattered about the garage. I know it is for the greater good though.
Secondly, broke this clip on the driver side rear quarter window moulding. Anyone got one they want to send me?
Then remove the passenger tail light to find the bulb had come loose and melted the housing. Fantastic!
Ok, all that is out of the way I'll sort out those minor issues later. Time to get serious on some rust repair.
Inside Yuck!
Grind it down... Clean it up...
Worse than I thought. Well, it's cleaned up now. I was just going to bondo it, but I think it is time to enlist some welding skills and fix this cancer for good. Do it right or don't do it at all I suppose.
Stay tuned. More to come in the days ahead!
I shout out to those true wagon peeps out there for stepping in and offering up some wagon goodies at killer deals! I have a nice set of fenders a new tail-light, and window trim clip already sourced to be arriving shortly for my baby.
This is what is all about! Helping out people that share the same love. Its not about making money!! I've seen so many overpriced wagon parts come and go. Understandably they are getting hard to come by and I have paid good money for some rare parts but... $200 under seat trays etc?? Some people should be ashamed. I will gladly return the favor whenever possible.
So thank you Fullthrotlefreak, Josh1vtm, and Bam (from past dealings) You guys know what it is all about!! :love_heart:
I think that molding clip you broke may be the same as a bunch of the clips used through out the car, possibly the same as the ones that hold the door panel on- shouldn't be too hard to source... OR it looks like you already have, but for future reference I think they are the same maybe??

the clip he is talking about were only used on that trim piece... honda does not make them anymore as well there are no aftermarket companies that i found that make them....But its ok i got his back as I am gonna send him a few for free
Got some work done this evening when I got home from work!
I noticed some rust coloration dripping from the drivers tail light insides as well, when I pulled the panels out. After scraping away the seam sealer, this is what I found. More cancer!
I think somehow that seam sealer material traps and holds moisture coming in from somewhere. This may be an area all of you may want to look at!
I kinda took the weekend off of the wagon. Had to work overtime and hang with the family. Back at it now though. I got all the dents out of the hood and got it spot primed in. Been hitting some other rough spots/dings here and there.
Next i'm going to tackle the front bumper and get the new fenders ready to go on! Moving right along

LOL
Exactly! All this to mount the bullbar. Lol. It needed doing anyway, the bullbar was just the proper motivation!

Thanks man!
Good bye old chewed up fender! Hello nice pretty fender!
It had a couple of small dings, but nothing bad. Already taken care of. Also got dents out on the roof and passenger side.
