so... im back at this again. the ebay sale was a scam. i did get my money back.
therefore, im starting all over again.
this time im buying something new from an autoparts store. it will save me a ton of headaches. im not trying to save a few bucks and get a used one where ill be scamed or it breaking down a year later.
so since its new im thinking mounting and bolting up is the only issue im gonna need to face.
im wanna do 1" for sure. it needs to fit into an area that has a Y8 head with a skunk intake manifold. i looked at it recently and the space is very small. the current stock master cylinder is 7/8. i have about a total of 3.25 inches from where the stock booster ones sits till it would be too close towards the intake manifold. the current booster is about 2.50 inches from the firewall location. even at 3.25 im still somewhat safe from hitting. i have another .25 inches before it actually touches.
im looking at the intergra type R 2000 master cylinder and brake booster combo. will this fit or do you guys recommend something else?
I can tell you at least that the brake booster/master cylinder combo will fit onto the car's body. The 4 bolts that hold the brake booster into the firewall will work. The hardline ports will require being bent as they are not in the same place, and if you did something like put on a D16Y8 intake manifold, you may have to really wiggle and coax the laster BB to get in there. The Integra booster is larger, both in outer diameter and depth. If you really wanted to go this way of using a 98-01 Master cylinder and are willing to bend the ports, I'd get a 96-00 Civic brake booster, as its a closer thickness, it'll accept the ITR MC, and its not as desirable, which makes it more common and cheap.
