  • Never low enough <3

I personally love the sound of my mudflaps dragging, wanna trade your front ones for my ground down ones? You'd have to be really really low to drag them now. :)
  • You should ditch the rubber vand tires and go with a bigger 205 50. I used those tires and they were horrible. And if u wanna sale the rt wheels i really need a set and im local
  • They're ground down enough to where the aren't dragging as much. But I get stuck leaving my driveway lol
  • Damn dude! Your driveway must be crazy, i scrape exhaust all the time in my driveway. You learn to love the gentle scrape of mudflaps compared to dragging frame haha

I know 503. I might just put the stock tires and wheels on it and keep it that way. whatever i do i'll keep you guys up to date. and ask for opinions of course.

dont do that, the wheels look super legit. just need a little bit more meat on the tires :)
  • Already tried a 195/45 and that was to wide. They wouldn't fit past the fender. Guess its just a matter of trial and error now.

you need to roll and pull your front fenders and a roll on the rear quarters. that will help with the rubbing and also some camber will help as well. sucks where you live, theres a guy here that does it, and there is also someone that rents his roller here in portland.
  • Think I might go for like a 185/45 and see if i can roll the fenders far enough to cope with that
  • thats way to small go with a 195 50 and a baseball bat roll i tucked 205/50 on 15x8.5 0 offset with easy

OK grind the caliper down its easy. Wish u read my thread u would have seen that I had to do it. Spacers will make it look bad. The wheels will look nice. Maybe a lil camber up front to get in side fender
  • I ground down the calipers. Tires are a little to small, might have to order some 185/45 and try those. but now if i roll my driver side fender i think a big piece of paint is gonna chip off. Hopefully i can get a ruckus soon so i can repaint the wago!!!
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
Well paint chipping comes with rolling fenders most the time. Use some heat. I rolled to much on mine. And if ur saying ur tires are to small get out if the 45 series.

    Check 175/50 or 185/55
  • Just found out a 175/50 will give me and extra 13mm of ride height as opposed to a gain of only 9mm with the 185/45.I know it doesn't sound like much but every little bit will help. So i think I'm gonna go with the 175's. Wish i had access to the marketplace also, i have top hats and lug nuts to put on there!! Second option: Craigslist here they come!!!

Thought you guys might wanna see what it looks like right meow....

Looks sick dude! Your wheel/tire combo is definitely small! Did you check the overall diameter of the tires compared to normal?
  • nah i'm not sure what the difference in diameter is. I'm about to put the stock wheels back on so i can order bigger tires and roll the S*** outta my fenders.
  • driftin90driftin90 Senior Wagonist
That's the crappy part of the 165 tires. Look great on older smaller cars, but on the wagon, to tuck tire you have to scrape frame. I swear I talk myself into wanting bags. Car still looks great and damn it's shiney. I think you'll get the look and ride you want with 175/50. They're fairly cheap on onlinetire.com

I know i'm running 205/40r16's but i'm just +15 offset, they fit really good on a wagon, tucking a bit of tire but not low enough i can't go over small speed bumps.

Have you thought about something like a 195/45r15? oir 195/50r15?
    Those are both readily available.

If you check in the glove box it should say what the stock tire size is for an RT. I don't feel like searching for it but if you find it i'll be bored and look at the tire size calculator on miata.net

Yep that's it! I did tons of work on that wagon you got yourself one hell of a ride there , one of the nicer ones around. I like the new wheels to!
  • watch out tfor those wheels. My girl had a set with some rubber band tires those things broke and bent within 2 weeks.
  • I've decided to put the stock wheels back on and lift it back up. Its too low for daily driving, especially with the roads around here. Might try to sell the wheels and get 16's but I'm not sure yet. Whatever I do I'll make sure to keep everyone here updated.

Awe sad... I have the same crappy roads. Iv got no problems here. I do miss having lighter wheels though and want to go back lower just can't in front cause something doesn't act right when lower lol. Not sure exactly what it is
  • What are the specs on the wheels and how much would you want for them?

Nice car BTW, thing is sweeeet!!!

Looks good. Just go up alittle. Draggin flaps is just part of being low. To be low is to sacrafice something else. Keep up the good work.
