RT4WD in the PNW

I've had my wagon for about 3 months now and i haven't done a whole lot to it yet.
Its a 1990 with 165,xxx miles on it. It was resprayed Rio Red last year.
Just recently i bought Diamond Racing Wheels for it in a 15x8 +0 all around.
Got some 165/45 Federals stretched on there that are going on soon.
Enough for the talking.
Stayed tuned and I'll be adding pictures as I add things to the car.

Love it bro. Hope ur diamonds are a good batch. Mine are never balanced but like how they look
  • Yeah i had a buddy that had the same size you do. He said he could never get them balanced either. Guess thats what you get for getting custom wheels. Doesn't bother me though.. They look dope.

Ya the bolt holes are almost like oval. Ya I don't mind but I wouldn't deal with diamond again. Shitty powder coat job.. when u putting yours on?
  • Ordered some extended top hats yesterday should be here by the end of the week. So hopefully it will be done by saturday night. How much did you have to roll the fenders to get them to fit perfect?

The back u really don't have to worry. Depending on camber the front u can see what I did... what look u trying to achive
  • Just a nice aggressive stance look would be nice. The only thing I'm worried about is how low the rear subframe sits.

I'm not an Rt but my stance is pretty good on 16s and plenty of room in rear sub
  • Good to hear!! That means there's hope :D I'll update the build with pictures as soon as i get all the parts.

No wheels yet... ? U gonna be able to make it out to any shows
  • Still waiting on the top hats!!! :(
Just tracked them they're supposed to be here on Monday. You can guarantee there will be a lot of pictures though. And when is the soonest show? It would be awesome to meet up with other wagon owners.

stoked to see those diamonds on it.
  • Just realized that i don't have very good pictures of the wheels. I'll upload some in a bit
  • I clear coated the center so they wouldn't rust.

Well there is a show on the 22nd next month. At evergreen speedway. Then forum fest is a few months at pacific raceways
  • The day after my 21st bday!! Woohoo!!! Hopefully I can make it I might not be able to cause I have school on Thursday. No school on Fridays though
  • wheels look nice. cant wait to see em on your car? where did you get top hats from?
  • Sadly, I just ordered some top hats on ebay because i couldn't find anyone else that sold just the top hat. Ground Control wants way to much for theirs too. They're supposed to get here Monday so thats when you guys will start seeing more pictures.
  • what are the heights
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
OK my bad bro my days were off. March 25th and forum fest is June 23rd
  • Right on I'll probably be able to make the show on the 25th.
  • So today was just problem after problem. Got my top hats in the mail, just to find out they won't fit because the threaded shaft they bolt onto wasn't long enough and the spring was in the way. Spent 2 hours putting the wheels on and adjusting the coilovers where i wanted them, got super excited to drive it, just to find out it wouldn't move because the front wheels are hitting the brake calipers. And i don't have a grinder. Then I accidentally cracked the paint on my fender which pissed me off so much i decided I'm going to repaint the car. Thats my update as of now. Can't decide if I want to grind down the brake caliper or if i should just get spacers.

So this is how it turned out. But its too low to leave my driveway. And the mud flaps are constantly dragging down the road. I think i might have to sell the wheels and go with a set of 16's.
  • or....now this is just a thought so work with me here....raise the car up? or or oh or you could put some real tires on it...they would help too!
  • I know 503. I might just put the stock tires and wheels on it and keep it that way. whatever i do i'll keep you guys up to date. and ask for opinions of course.
