Hopefully I did this right. Photobucket won't let me upload anything from the iPod.

:( than in all honesty I have no idea how to upload pics from the iPod sorry guys
  • Doesn't imageshack or flickr have an app? and you can copy the image codes onto here. Or you could just add them as attachments through the 'post reply', not the quick reply

Been too long since my last post/update.

Just want to give a HUGE shot out to Charb for giving me access to the site once again. I was having major issues logging on. Made a new account and pm'd him about what was going on, he took care of it no questions asked and now I'm back :D

Well on to my car. Got me a bunch of goodies for my wagon. Been collecting them slowly and it's coming together great.
Tre255 fuel pump, cometic head gasket, gates carbon Kevlar timing belt, titanium valve springs and retainers, pte780 injectors, equal length log manifold and much more. This is just to name a few.
PLUS my block is currently in the machine shop getting a fresh hone, good cleaning, polishing my crank and also balancing it to my 8lbs flywheel.

Since my last update I have done some cosmetic changes to the car too.
I used the Volvo lip for awhile and really liked the way it looked til I found something else at the junkyard that have been attempted by a few others and I myself would like to give a shot also.

Traded my mini Cooper cookie cutters that I had for a new daily driver. Two sets of rims and stock springs for a 88 dodge vista colt 4wd. Not fast by any means but gets me from point a to point b slowly but surely. Great on gas and actually quite comfortable.

Any who I'll update with some pics that I have. Not a lot but it's something. I
I gotta learn to take more pics for my thread haha
    345.jpg
    346.jpg

AND I might possibly put these on
    347.jpg

Not so sure though, might be a little too extreme for me and my setup. 16x7 18 offset and 16x8 -10 offset. If I can find someone that would trade the -10s so I can have a matching set of 18 offset that would be wonderful. Until than I don't see myself using these on my wagon. It's hard enough to find these rims let alone someone that wants to trade them hahaha.

Will update with more pics when my wife let's me use the camara to take more pics

    You goin 5 lug? :)
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
It's a possibility. The thought has been in my head for awhile and I got what I need to do it but just not sure on the rims yet. Mitsubishi starion wheels are hard to find and I got them for next to nothing. Too bad they came staggered rim size or it would already be done and on my wagon lol

  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Yeah got them out of a 91 integra 2 door se model I believe.

So I got this lip from a 90 Toyota camry awhile ago and never got around to putting it on. Did some test fitting today and it's almost a direct fit. Slightly longer on the sides than the bumper but that's nothing. Having some trouble getting the middle to fit perfectly but it sits ok for now. Mind you this is only the "test fit" adjustments will come later. Once I get it mocked up where I want it to be than I'll paint it and take more pics.
    On to the pics
    388.jpg
    389.jpg

As you can see it needs to be trimmed a little bit.
    390.jpg

On the car, without a motor:(
    391.jpg
In the last picture you can see that the middle doesn't line up properly and it bugs the shit out of me haha
This lip is a two piece. The way it bolts up is a bit strange, I thought I took pics of that but I guess not.

So today i started working on the engine bay a little more. Got all the stock clips from the wiring harness off and disposed of. Getting ready for my mild wire tuck.
    Fenders and bumper are off

    Engine bay shots
    453.jpg
    454.jpg

As it sits now. All my mess is in my wagon at the moment since the garage is full lol

    457.jpg

Will be prepping for paint soon. Or as soon as Idaho weather allows me. We've been having some funky weather lately and it's not good for the paint.

Getting better at taking pictures and keeping this updated. Will continue to get better :)

    Good to see some progress...

Find yourself a good heatgun for that lip. I used one on mine and absolutely love it! People don't usually notice off the bat, but when pointed out everyone agrees its way better. I really like it though. Some Back to Black and she'll look money!
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Yeah I got a heat gun. I'll be doing that soon. I want to heat it and wrap it instead of clipping it off. That's how I've done it with the past lips with no complaints on how it looks but this lip I want to look great not good. Will continue to update. Especially when I get my motor back. Than I can go out to the nw meets without burning a ton of oil haha
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Picked up some rear speaker pods, thought they were like the other isuzu pods but after looking at the pics of other people's pods they aren't the same. I'll make them work though and take tons of pics too :)

Did some work today on my wagon.
Spray painted the header high heat black since it was all rusted and nasty looking. Along with the intake manifold and accessories. Came out pretty good, or at least good enough til I can get a skunk2 manifold
    727.jpg
    728.jpg

Also picked up a bbk 70mm throttle body for a steal :)
    729.jpg
    730.jpg

Here's a pic of the throttle body and pte 780cc injectors installed on the manifold
    731.jpg
    732.jpg

Block and crank are back from the machine shop and ready to be assembled
    733.jpg
    734.jpg

Here's a pic of my little helper, Pipeher
    735.jpg
    736.jpg

I normally don't get attached to pets but I love this cat. So much that my wife, who is allergic to cats, is letting me keep her. She's awesome and my wife's not so bad either lol

So I finally got moved in to my new place and the garage is clean enough to have my wagon inside.
    212.jpg
    213.jpg
    214.jpg

Started clean up on my new wheels. Traded my starion wheels for ronal r10s. Not in the best condition but they are definitely gonna work out better than the starion wheels would have.
Still unsure on the final color for the wheels but most likely gonna polish the crap out of them haha
    215.jpg
    216.jpg

They came with good tires but they are not going to work for me. 20560r15 is not my kind of tire size for a lowered car lol
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
    One down three to go.
    226.jpg
Still has some imperfections but pretty darn close to being done.
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Got started on my wire tuck today. Pulled everything through the firewall except for the dr. Side.
Orry for the dark pics. Don't exactly have the best camara.
    312.jpg

Also got the engine bay prepped and ready for paint. Which will come once I figure out what color I'm going to go with:/
    313.jpg
    314.jpg

Undercoated the inner fender wall area.
    315.jpg
    316.jpg

That is all for now. Gotta work tonight so I will do more once I get off in the morning. More wire tuck and engine bay work to come.
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Got started with the actual wire tuck today. I started with the driver side since there was less wires. I HATE wires and wire jobs but I can honestly say it's not so bad once you get going. I've only done the driver side today. Not sure if I want to tackle the passenger side since this is not exactly something you want to start one day and finish another.
Anyways, on to the pics. I didn't take a ton of pics since my mind was focused on the wires, sorry.
Engine bay shot with ALL the wires pulled out.
    328.jpg

Driver side wires ran through and waiting to be cut and soldered.
    329.jpg

Wires loomed and mounted. Still gotta do one more mounting spot but you get the idea.
    330.jpg

Gave the side marker It's own ground and left it out of the loom. Also took out the second light for the corner lights since I'm using it for my side marker and I have the edm clear corners that only use one light instead of the two like the usdm corner lights.
    331.jpg

Most likely won't tackle the passenger side til tomorrow. It'll give me something to do on my birthday:)
  • 345.jpg

I'm enjoying seeing the progress on the wagon. Also, I'm really liking the M.C. 7 spokes. Gonna have to see if anyone locally has a set for sale.
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Thanks I liked the wheels a lot but just didn't like them on my wagon for some reason. They are for sale, pm me for details.

Sneak peek at the color I chose for my engine bay :)
    339.jpg
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Passenger side wire tuck is now complete. I think it looks pretty amazing for my first time doing so.
    412.jpg

Getting ready to finish painting the engine bay today before work. I'm so excited :)
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
I did not honestly think that the color would go well with the maroon I already have but it looks damn good IMO. All wires tucked and ready to be plugged in once the motor is in, which should be soon. Cosmetically my engine bay is complete but not mechanically.
    416.jpg
    417.jpg
    418.jpg

Just a few shots of my progress :)
  • BillBoardBillBoard council member
:thumbs up for ronal turbos!! nice!!- if you ever think of selling them, please hit me up first...!!!

cant wait to see them on your wagon!
  • good stuff and great progress! Love those wheels..should look pimp on the wagon!
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Thanks for the kind words fellas. I've honestly been thinking of selling the ronals already just because another member is putting some on his wagon but I'm gonna try them out and see how they look first than go from there. There's plenty more to come with the wagon, I've got a few more ideas and changes :)
  • JDMWago666JDMWago666 Senior Wagonist
Wire tuck is complete and engine bay is complete:)
    635.jpg

What the wires look like by the headlights
    636.jpg

Don't know why exactly but I decided to paint the back part of the headlights too.
    637.jpg
I think it looks pretty good

Finally got my clear bumper lenses too.
    638.jpg

Main bearings and water pump ordered the other day. Once those are here than the bottom end can be put together. Thinking about painting it again before getting it running, especially since the maroon is fading:/
  • How did you "prep" your engine bay? Did you clean and sand the whole thing? I'm just wondering because I don't have time right now to do all that but if people are getting away with less, might be willing to go that route.
  • 90rexzc90rexzc New Wagonist
Man, I'm so jealous of Idaho's junkyard selection! TN yards are cool due to the lack of rust but like some one said before the Hondas are gutted as soon as they roll in. Really diggin your wagon though. Keep it up!
