My 1990 wagon getting some love!

So here's my 1990 Honda Civic Wagon Dx. I bought her on November 21st, 2010, and have been lurking(reading and learning) for the most part, and starting to collect some parts for it since. 5-speed, blue interior, about 215,000 on her now and counting! It's my daily driver for now and she's getting a slow, but steady make-over. The head gasket blew not too long ago and I almost gave up on it since I NEEDED a car! I'm soooo glad I fixed it. But enough chatter.... here's a couple pics of what she looked like after i got her home.

she's in decent shape, with a couple tiny little rust spots but it's still fixable.

decided to drive to casino morongo with five people in the car....in a thunder storm....not too smart LOL! I could barely see the road, and actually saw a f-150 roll twice and land back on it's wheels trying to get on the freeway! :!:

after that dark drive I bought these :)

    Unfortunately not wheels yet :(

I just got a bunchhh of parts from europe ;)

And its called "brandy wine" its very nice...ill post up the swatch as soon as i get a chance!
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
Oh ya brandy wine gonna look real nice. He gonna cut and buff for that price as well.?. Imma painter also just wish I could get the money and time to do mine. The rt wheels are bad ass stretched wide. Maybe look into that
  • 90shuttle90shuttle Senior Wagonist
Deffffinitely looking into widening my rt's. I have 2 sets :)

And im pretty sure that itll be a whole restoration... its my gf's uncle who has his own shop. So hes giving me a great price.
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
Good man. Go as wide as u can :)

    I was thinking 15x9 +10 offset
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
That be great. I wanted 9 wide but diamond racing didn't have 9 inch barrel
  • 90shuttle90shuttle Senior Wagonist
Im worried about any rubbing though...rolling is a must
  • What's up with the pic updates.
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
U should really be fine. I mean tire size is critical. U look at mine I'm 16 x 8 and 0 offset
  • 90shuttle90shuttle Senior Wagonist
Okay, thats good to know...what tire size you think work with a decent drop and slight stretch?

Fine ill get off my lazy butt and go take a few pics ;)
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
Tyrestretch.com. gives u all ideas and possibilitys. Then just a matter of finding if the tire is available. Ones I wanted were special order and les schwab couldn't get them. And me being broke didn't have 700 to throw out. Gotta use thy schwab account
  • 90shuttle90shuttle Senior Wagonist
Well im not ballin either!! Lol but i thought i could find decent tires for 400 MAXXX
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
Its all about what look ur going for and how low ur going.. my 175 50 16 were 550
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
I searched. Looks like 195/45 is available. Google image search brought up more pics on a 15x9. Looks good and 400 on tirerack.com
  • 90shuttle90shuttle Senior Wagonist
Okay cool! Im taking pics of all my parts ive been collecting for a while right now... its just beer makea me lazy lol...so lets hope they get posted tonight!
