Dude you did a great job on this, how does it ride all the way out like that on your bottle caps? Definitely came a long way from a from a massively dented car that!
  • Hahaha yeah mines not for sale yet, nor do i see it being for sale in the near future.

I havent had the bottlecaps on it for like 3 months so i couldnt tell you. It definitely made a HUGE difference putting on my current wheels and tires though, as far as tire roll and grip.

And thank you! Its come a long ways but its still got a long way to go. Soon it'll be down for a repaint and heart and brain transplant. Probably march or so.
  • Mini-update:
Wagons off the road for a little bit, wheel bearing/cv axle/brake issues forced my hand.
DA spindles with new rotors and pads bought and 75% on
(never seen how the calipers go together CORRECTLY so i'm waiting on a buddy)
New cv axles in! The old ones were shot, possibly bent, and throwing grease everywhere.

Ordered some parts, new 12" slimfan
Those of you who have seen my engine bay will appreciate this!
    blox gold rear LCA's.
^^ both havent been put on yet, waiting to get the wagon rolling around again.

And i painted the valve cover, it kind of matches the oem grey which is nice!

Large amounts of pictures when the wagon rolls again! All the ones that got deleted with the reset and such too.

And thanks for all you guys that take the time to READ my thread, I'm guilty of cruising threads and only looking at the pictures too.

Painted my front and rear bumpers with some random duplicolor paint match, its a bit more green than OEM but it was cheap and looks good compared to black.

    Thanks for looking guys :)
  • the car looks great. I've been looking to paint my bumpers the same as the car, which is the same color as yours I believe, can you tell me what duplicolor you used?
  • Dateg2Dateg2 Band Wagon
Looks great! I hope my wagon build progresses as nicely as yours. How do the ebay springs ride?
  • TheGmanTheGman Wagonist
    Thanks guys! :)
The cap says "BHA0990 Polished Metal Met (nh737m)"
But in person it is a little bit more green than the oem wagon grey.

And i'm actually on megan ez street coilovers, which ride awesome with you and another person in the car. But i wouldn't recommend for a fully loaded wagon.

But either way, progress is going to be a bit slow until the weather decides to be warm for more than 1 or 2 days at a time. And until i find a color i really like so i can buy it and paint my wagon for real!

U rolling out to golden gardens show this Saturday. I might. Also show march 25th evergreen speedway. Who gonna paint ur wagon??
  • TheGmanTheGman Wagonist
I have plans for this saturday! My friend since preschool's birthday party, i haven't missed one in like 10 years.

And I'm painting my wagon! Unless you have a real paint booth I can put the car in to make it super fresh....

But it has to be deals!
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
I don't have my hands on a booth but was curious if u were gonna attack the paint urself.
  • TheGmanTheGman Wagonist
Yup! Totally going to paint it myself dude. I went to school for collision repair technology and went to state for skills USA for painting.

Its going to be super garage paint job status, but with legit primer/sealer and base/clear
  • PavementwagoPavementwago Senior Wagonist
Right on didn't know that. I also went to school. Renton tech 2 year class... I'd say I'm pretty good at paint
  • TheGmanTheGman Wagonist
That was my main focus at new market, being the best painter i can be. I'm not bad with a spray can, but i'm a lot better with a real gun! Only thing I'm really in need of is a booth and some better tools.

A few random pics later in the day yesterday, It was nice and sunny!
This black and white one is awesome as far as I'm concerned.

I'm actually going to paint it the OEM color so I can sell it eventually and not have to paint the jams and such. Plus the grey is kinda growing on me :)

    Hey guys, wagon update time!

My engine is no longer a smokin b2! Its now a z6? Or is it an A6? Or is it a y7?
My motor is now a Frankenstein. Crazy stuff went down.

    Its a z6 block with a6 crank/rods/pistons/rings/bearings
    a6 oil pan and pickup.
IN a z6 block with the z6 oil pump and z6 timing belt and head gasket,
all topped off with a Y7 head with a z6 vtec valve cover.
Oh, and theres a b20 timing belt tensioner spring.

Threw in a stage 3 clutch, 9 pound flywheel and innovative solid mounts also while it was apart.

It runs great, doesn't smoke, and ended up being painted with high temp silver so it even looks good :)

Sometime in the near future it will be getting a tucked harness,
    converted to obd1,
    the bay cleaned up.
    a full exhaust.
    intake
    and a delta regrind cam.

    Thanks for looking :)

nice ride... but just my 2 cent u should relocate ur horn that it wouldn't be so visible in the engine compartment and makes it too easy for theifs to cut the wires... =D
  • TheGmanTheGman Wagonist
Once the wire tuck is in progress it's all going to be moved, car toys didn't do a good job hiding it.... Theres a hood pin though so if anyone opens the hood the alarm goes off lol But if they cut the wires i guess it wouldn't matter. But yeah theres plenty of wire so I will be moving it. :)
  • TheGmanTheGman Wagonist
A few new pics, got an intake. Ebay but whatever it works. Having a few problems though, im getting an o2 sensor code, its a new sensor after i replaced the bottom end. The car doesnt burn oil at all but runs a bit rich. It only seems to throw the code when I engine brake. Ya know, just letting off the throttle getting off the freeway and such. It also seems to bog down really bad after I drive it for 5 minutes, then the CEL comes on and it runs normal but a little bit slower. Anyone have an idea what the problem could be?

    Anyway, on to some pics.
    Intake!

The ride height right now, its going to go back up though. My coilovers ride like shit for some reason without the front springs preloaded.
  • knottyyknottyy Wagonist
damn man....you have that thing dumped!! Damn near tucking rim! The Frakenengine is lookin good, nice work on that and I dig the gold sprocket. Did you notice any power gains at all with the intake? Saw that on eBay and it is a pretty good price. For some reason the person I bought my wagon from said it will never pass emissions and they don't know why. I guess they just fail, take it to a shop, put some money into it and then take it back and they pass you. Lucky for me I wont have to deal with that for another year or so. I love really love the grey, much prefer it over my blue.
  • TheGmanTheGman Wagonist
Lucky for me I live in the boonies! Never had to pass emissions, I can definitely tell over the stock airbox even though it didn't have the little tube to go above the radiator, I also never replaced the filter since i bought it over a year ago.

Its definitely as low as i would ever go with a wagon, If a few of my friends weren't on the bigger side I'd leave it that low if I got some extended tophats or something.

Oh well, i still daily it that low, as a matter of fact I'm about to go to work! haha

One of these days i'll be less lazy and go out and buy the right fitting for my air sander and get my wagon stripped and straightened out for paint! Staying grey too ;-)
  • knottyyknottyy Wagonist
Ha, just the other day my girlfriend said "good thing I'm not a fatty otherwise the wagon would hate me". I'd be down to come help you sand when you do it, just holler. Stinks that you're having issues since installing the cold air intake. Hope you get that figured out, and please let us know what the outcome is as I just bought one as well. Did you install a bypass valve on yours? I didn't see one but maybe I missed it, someone told me I should have one in case I drive through a big puddle. What does the little tube above the radiator do?
  • TheGmanTheGman Wagonist
Its just the overflow line for the radiator, also I didn't install a bypass haha and ive ran through enough standing water to make me almost hydroplane. The amount of water that gets sucked into the filter if you don't have the splash guards will burn off. I've heard of people putting like 1/3 of a cup (SLOWLY) through their dual point manifolds and it cleans out a lot of the carbon on the cylinders. Kinda like seafoam!

Just saying its a long ass drive dude! Are you going to honda tech saturday? I'll be there but i'm going over to duval for my cousins grad party thingy, then driving back home that night, going to work, and driving back up to bremerton to do my exhaust on sunday. Dangit thats a lot of driving im just realizing this.

Thank you kind sir! If stuff had played out differently, I should have just gotten 15's instead of 16's and had smaller tires, I'm as low as it goes but I want to be lower.

I'm actually so low that with people in the back of my car my tire will hit the rear fenderwell, not the outside area you would roll, the top of the inner fender.

If anyone is going to forumfest i'll be there! Tall white dude with glasses, yankees hat and red flannel toms.

I'm not registered, just going to park in the lot. My cars not even close to half ready as far as looks.

Fenders are both ugly, mismatched, hood is white, roof is peeling, bumpers are color matched sorta? Bumpers are in bad condition, hatch is tweaked, And i mentioned its 5 colors right?

I need to get a tucked harness and shave and paint my bay too.
