TheGman's 91 civic wagon (New pics!)

I figured i might as well get a build thread going since i've had my wagon for over 3 weeks!
Its basically all stock, swapped d15b2 from a different wagon with a (ghetto) rigged accord radiator, busted up fender and messed up hood. With peeling paint.

The only stuff i've done to it so far, is a tune up (cap rotor plugs and plug wires) ran some lucas fuel system treatment thru it.
Dont mind the sharpie marks, i was about do fix all the dents and paint the car but i got shut down!

Oh, and i now have red tail lights.

enjoy!

Much more to come, slamming it (low budget ebay springs) and probably a new garage champ white paint job. Or primer green.

Anyone have some rear mudflaps? haha

Gotta raise the back up a tiny bit.
Farther off plans include, skunk 2 struts, painting the roof black, and freshening up the side moldings and maybe a red stripe just for fun!
  • TheGmanTheGman Wagonist

Freshened up the front and back bumpers, and amber corners/bumper lights!

They're pretty darn amber.... But i like them regardless.
  • TheGmanTheGman Wagonist
So yeah, its been a while, update time? Not that anyone really reads this....

Still rollin low, sticker bombed my front lip, seized a transmission, and proceeded to replace it with a civic SI transmission. Hopefully soon i'll be able to get my MPFI swap done (i have 90% of the parts) and make my wagon run a little bit better.

Then the slow mega budget mini-me build begins, y7 block, z6 head decked, rebuild the block and rework the head, adjustable cam gear, and then convert to obd1, do a full wire tuck, ebay headers, y8 manifold, 60mm throttlebody, intake. One piece at a time... or maybe 2, or 3 or 4 if i get one of them... job... things..

^^ i think i need to go a little bit lower still
  • Mandalore88Mandalore88 Senior Wagonist
a lot lower! lookin good man grey is my favorite
  • I like! Yeah the grey/silver is super slick. That fender looked like someone used it for batting practice.
That volvo lip is prime. What's next?
  • TylervTylerv Band Wagon
Bottle caps for the win. I might just get some. I wana get something diffrent han my 13 inch stockies
  • Woo, well the wagon is basically the same still. The trans seized up about a month and a half ago and i replaced it with a cable civic SI trans. Still just hanging out with the B2.

I did get a job, 11.75 an hour + (from what my trainer was telling me) 2$ an hour from how much production the nightshift does. So far i've been doing 8 hour days every day. So hopefully soon i'll be getting some bigger ticket items.

Starting with suspension, then XXR 522's, Gold of course ;-)
Maybe some adjustable godspeeds, camber kits, new rear LCA's.
Get a better halfsized aluminum radiator, full exhaust once i do the motor swap.
Then i'll probly pick up some yellow EK fogs, the huge square ones, maybe an EDM fog, window visors, hid's, pull my headlights apart and do legit black housing headlights.
Maybe some other secret projects will be in the works also.
Then building a paint shop in my parents garage, then buy everything to swap my motor to something nicer, maybe a jdm d15b vtec? Then proceed to paint/shave/tuck my bay, and shave/paint my car.

As long as this job doesn't kill me.

    working is good!

what happened to your drop fork plan?
  • H_civic66H_civic66 Senior Wagonist
Like the corners/ bumper lights, How'd you do it? I used duplicolor metalcast orange. Also hows the ebay coilovers ride etc.? Which ones are they? Looking good keep it up.
  • Great looking wagon i like the idea of the gold 522's im tossed between those or rota rb's for my wagon cant wait to see the next update
  • The bumper lights/corners were just the orange/amber duplicolor metalcast stuff, with clearcoat (the secret to making them last and fade less)
The rear tail/corners lights were just the red version with clear,

lol ebay coils, they ride like garbage now because the struts are blown and i have them maxed out. So far the job i got has been 8hrs a day during the week so as soon as i get paid i'm getting new coilovers.

The idea for drop forks is on the back burner because i'll either have to find a company to cast them, or have a machine shop with a lathe make them :D

Big plans in the works, just waiting on that paycheck!
  • H_civic66H_civic66 Senior Wagonist
Cool cant wait to see it. Icheck out my thread I used the same on mine but not sure if I snaded enough. Oh well one looks a bit darker not as clear but I like it too. I asked about the ebay's well cause thats what im gonna do for a few months atleast and then do full suspension. Thanks.
  • The only sanding i did was on the tail lights, and it was just to rough it up a tiny bit. Other than that its all about just cleaning the surface and letting the coats flash before reapplying.

A friend of mine is running Megan EZ street coilovers on his EK sedan, Thinking i'll get the same setup (but for an EF) because he's really low and not maxed out and with a good ride (for being low).

Wish it was friday already lol...

I think I met your friend yesterday, is it a red sedan in Lakewood?
  • Dumped on sportmax 002's? its a 96 with a 2000 front end. He lives in lacey but works in lakewood.

Its SO damn clean. I'm jealous.
  • Sort of an update, threw justin-xxx's wheels on my car and took some pics. Buying them tomorrow :D

Also i bought some cheap tools, DA sander and a 50$ paint gun. I'll be painting my roof, drivers side fender at least. Then i'm going to paint the hood and passenger fender if i have enough paint.

Should be fun! Thats tomorrow's project tho haha

    lopks nice
  • how you getting your hood to close with the half size radiator?
  • wago_90 wrote:

The radiator is sitting down into the front crossmember, and is tilted back towards the motor, Its not held in by any sort of support. Its just kinda sitting there.

It may look good, and it keeps it cool even in traffic and even without a fan. Which is all i can really ask for!
