- Got me the thermostat tubing that goes on the back of the block.
- breather box that goes on the back of the block.
- got a EF driver mount since the block I have is from an EG with EG mount
- got alternator brackets upper and lower
Missing the idle air valve for the y8 intake
missing an altenator
missing dipstick
I'll probably start cleaning the motor and parts tonight.
car is looking really good. are you leaving the valve cover bare metal or did you plan on painting it before putting the motor in? not that it matters either way, I was just curious.
Converted to obd1 fanswitch, relocated o2, Mpfi conversion, unpinned/removed unused wires, rplaced/cleaned all broken/dirty plugs.
just have to go get the fan switch from the warehouse and ill be paying you a visit.

looks like it is a hack job with a fart cannon on the back.
That will be changed once get the wagon up and running and figure how loud it is.
As of Saturday.
Motor appears on the door step.
clutch, flywheel, pressure plate
intake, throttle body, injectors, fuel rail
Air Compressor.
Saturday was a good day.
Need to clean up motor and re-gasket it.

70+ lb box delivered to the house.
came with all kind of goodies for my upgrade to power windows etc at some point. I'll be making custom harness's etc.
But first is to get the car running and rock the manual windows for a while.
gonna try this weekend to clean up the motor and figure out what gaskets I need before I go dropping it in.
got too many projects and not enough time.
My rhd hatch looks like it threw up a sedan power window and door lock conversion kit.
I've got parts laying on a towel all over the roof.
I've also got pretty much the complete set up for cruise as well.
Probably tonight I'll be starting to get the motor clean and figure out all the gaskets I need.
Only issue was it was work on the wagon and also yard work.
I think heat stroke came into play due to how much I was trying to get done.
But thank god for my little helpers.
They told me they wanted to wash Dad's new car.
So I gave them a bucket of water and soap. I think my daughter was sparkling clean due to my son hosing her down multiple times.
I learned a trick, I got some non scratch comet dish powder. Made the car and engine bay nice and white again.
Can only do the above trick on single stage paint with no clear.
Got to also clean up the motor. It was oil soaked due to a leaky dizzy oring.
Spent about $100 on gaskets the other night so I've got all these lovely boxes sitting.
Missing injector orings and two gaskets to build complete motor but they will be here soon.
I'm probably gonna build it as much as I can then put it in the car so it is not taking up space in the garage.
About 24" wide 36" long and about 12" high.
I was like what the hell did the wife order now.
Oops my bad.
The box was light as a feather.
It had my intake manifold gasket and my injector orings.
Glad I paid for shipping. Oh wait got that for free.
Cant wait to see the box size for the throttle body gasket.
So tomorrow is P90x Yoga. I don't seem to be able to bend my mind around the full 1.5hrs so I'll probably be in the garage tomorrow.
P90x is extreme work out. Muscle confusion, thursday just happens to be Yoga.
I useally have too much going on in my mind to do it for 1.5 hrs.
Since my wife started with a personal trainer doing martial arts for a movie she is in.
I said well time for me to up the old antie on my fat ass.
I decided to re-gasket the engine and build it.
Front of motor with EF mount:
Clutch and pressure plate installed:
My Y8 intake:
Found the old ZC header in the garage.
I found a header cover for it as well sorting around in the parts.
So pretty much I’m at motor and gaskets $170.
I have to get a new valve cover gasket due to the one I ordered was wrong.
I’ll pick that up today probably if we go out.
I might do the black paint on the valve cover since I have to take it back off anyway.
Plus the black paint tends to hide the finger prints.
If I do anything special I'd do a Union Jack on the valve cover.
So we went to church, came home changed clothes and decided to drop the motor in.
I thank my wife everyday for being a car chic. She helped me get the motor attached to the tranny.
My son was on the jack handle to the transmission raising so we could engage it correctly.
Now just waiting for the next nice day so I can put the intake back on and also the exhaust.
Then waiting on custom wiring harness.
Now the issue is due to the motor is in.
She sits even lower.
I'm going to first put on the old wheels from the hatch before I do any adjusting.
If you need different spring setup, I have several variations.
Nice progress.
Hoss has already volunteered to trade me for stock shocks and springs from me since they are skunk coilovers.
I told Les about the three rules. She pissed herself. She said it is true though.
body goes to hell after 40.
Good to see ya the other day.
my buddy is talking about picking up the harness this week so should have a custom made harness soon for the wagon.
Did the following yesterday.
All are finger tight at the moment:
Alt mount.
thermostat housing
breather box.
Got me also an arm rest so try and get pictures of that today.
Also got in a little present
I actually had looked at a hatch with a b20 vtec that this guy bought.
he was going to swap it into the wagon.
but due to the police leaving a note on his door it became a clear the driveway of all the cars.
I got a good deal on it. So me watching what I spend on it is helping.
I've been very budget build lately.
Yesterday Mate of mine delivered a hood and a passenger fender to me.
fender is in a lot better condition and there is no issues with the hood.
Only issue they are blue.
He is going to see if he can get the other fender.
I did get a y8 header but the rest of the parts are sitting at Doug's house.
I'll paint the front one once I have the bumper off.
Also straightened out a new fender. Had a little crease in the top. Hammer and a wooden block solved that issue.
I really wanted to go to IA today but due to wife's schedule me and the kids had an around the house day.
My son and daughter helped me tape the car up to paint it.
So if they are willing to help I'm more than willing to work on it.
Plus had a few friends over for dinner last night and talk about good motivation.
plus also being delivered a good hood and fender also helped.
