  • I'm in for updates...
  • Hopefully I get out of work early enough to run to the pull yard and grab an integra center consol with arm rest. And the maplight as well...stupid work.
  • Well I picked up Popoch3n's broken 4wd wago. Well I got it pulled apart and am coming back this afternoon to take it away via trailer. Once I get the other side of the garage cleaned up I'll bring it home and start the conversion. This will be fun.

Also Dropped by my friends work to see about some off road tires for the wagon. We came up with 195/60r15 winterforce tires. I think they will do nicely on the wagon. :)

I'll have the much needed back log of pictures I'm missing hopefully tonight. I've been super busy the past week.

when you removed the carpet, how did you get the little plastice foot rest piece off on the drivers side floor?.... i have all the carpet out except for this piece, i don't want to break it.
  • get a flat head screw driver and pry out the middle part of it, there are two screws under it...i broke mine in half before i realized they were there haha.
  • alright so i finally got the pictures from the rear speaker pod install. christmas this year was a killer for any spare time i had lol. first off i'd like to say im sorry these pix are not as good as the others. erik3 forgot to change the white-balance on my camera. their pretty blown out haha.

here is the left mount bolted in.

here is one side mounted up...once i get the interior all fitted and everything finished up i'll clean up and re paint the interior so it does not look all trashed.

and here is me soldering the wires in for the rear speakers.

Didn't have to add wires for the rear speakers. They are already there from the factory!

A broken one that I'm not even sure I can fix?!?!? You crazy!

    ^ transfer case is bad?
no, i don't want anything like that.
    (edit: i want a parts rt4wd)
  • idk whats bad yet...im gonna get it on a frame machine and do some pulling to see if i can get it straight and repaired...from a brief inspection looks like it just pulled out the front axel..
  • Well work has been consuming my life as of late. Kind of annoying i have not had anytime to work on the wagon. I just received some good hatch struts so now it wont fall on my head. Also waiting on my passengers mirror block off plates to get here. Just picked up 1000cc GSX-R ITB's. I'll get photos up of everything in the next few days. I also have a Z6 head that i sent off to a machine shop to get ported, polished, valve seets ground and valves installed. Once i get it back i'll work on getting the ITB's set up and installed.

This is a hell of a build! I can't believe the work you have done to this Wagon!
  • thanks man. kind of on a break right now from the wagon....i have a lot of other work i need to get done.

    1. redo the front end of the girlfriends car. someone hit it a couple months ago and have a hood/fender/bumper to paint and get put on.

    2. have a bumper to paint for a friends tC

    3. have a butt load of eyelids top paint for various cars...ugh the list goes on.

oh and i have another wagon i need to try to get the front end pulled out and straight so i dont have to do a full 4wd conversion....FML
  • GR33KGR33K Wagonist
    That all sounds fun. jk

Are you going to transfer your good 2WD parts into the 4WD and sell you 2WD?
  • i really have not decided yet...i think if i do the transfer i'll just part out everything that is left over. im really just hoping i can save the 4wd and then have both...but thats a pipe dream lol.
  • GR33KGR33K Wagonist
Well if you decide to part which ever one you don't keep please let me know because I am in need of some parts :)

whats up 503 so you got lots of work to do down there i see. do you work at a shop? or have a nice garage to work out of? or like me gotta work out in the rain unless someones garage is open lol. painting sucks outside and in dirty garages.
  • haha i have a garage but its fairly small. and i have to share it with my dad so....i only get it half the time. the only benefit to our garage is we have a wood-stove located in the basement so we use that and just use a fan to pump the hot air into the garage...so basically we have a heated garage which is amazing in the winter.
  • everybody loves mud.

  • so i guess i should do one final update on this before i end it. as most of you already know this baby was stolen a little over a week ago. got it back like 5 days later with my all my audio jacked out as well as my studded tires....im going to be parting it out here in a while after im done with the police/get another wagon.

yeah. $320 later in impound fee's...bullshit....but i should be able to make more than that parting it out so i wasn't super worried about it.
