They are one piece, and nah they rub enough as is.
To me they fit just right and wouldnt want to change a thing
  • well i love them and your wagon!
  • love it man very clean
  • Well sadly this has been neglected sitting in the Garage for the last month or so. However I am starting work on it again.

Finally received this the other day:
    523.jpg
A EF8 CRX Center ArmRest, needs a little TLC (a clean and retrim of the fabric section) but finally found one.

Been playing with my Type R a bit as well, have removed the Carbon Wing and ARC Winglets, swapped back to OEM 98spec Rims for now whilst I tidy up a set of BBS LM I imported from Japan.
This is it last week when I was on Holiday with my Girlfriend:

And on the BBS (wont be using these tyres as they are too big)

  • Just read the whole build i love it very nice wagon and integra alot of time well spent on both
  • So I have motivation again! That means the Shuttle is getting some work done.

Here is how it currently sits, rear suspension removed for a tidy up and some more low:

Once that is back together I will be taking it for paint, then I am away for 3weeks then I have a couple of finishing touches to make and hopefully then it will be "finished" lol

Oh and here is a fancy pic of my ITR when it had a photoshoot about 3years ago for a calender, just received some of the pics today:

  • Beautiful cars man.
  • I hear ya on the motivation! It must be the weather getting nicer, I havnt touched my ef7 since I got the shuttle but it finally got attention this week.

    DB8 is looking hawt!
  • ^ Thanks

I reckon its the daylight savings that gives motivation. Get home from work and its still hot and sunny for another 3 hours.
  • what you doing with those bbs wheels?
id love to take those off your hands for the right price..... 0_o
  • I am refinishing them and putting them on my ITR. I imported them from Japan a couple months ago as it was cheaper than buying them here.

Currently have the tyres off and the centers out so the lips can be polished and centers painted.

    Well what have we here?

Its getting ready for a birthday of the coloured variety. Hopefully next friday I will drop it off for a paint job.

Have also changed steering wheels, swapped the Mugen with another from my collection, this time a Woodgrain Nardi wheel:

Good shit man! Looking forward to seeing this at NIMM aswell as all the other shuttles...would love to take mine but I got a free ride to Taupo and back and thats too good to turn down
  • NZ-DB8RNZ-DB8R Moderator
I hope it is ready for NIMM! Depends on the painters I guess. They should have 2weeks to do the bits that I have asked for.
I also have a Ali radiator on the way as the stock D16 one struggles with the B18c.

    Heres how it sits now:

^thanks guys. I dropped it off at the paint shop yesturday afternoon. Long weekend here this week but they reckoned it should be ready maybe next friday.

Only getting bumper, rood, guards and drivers door done as I cant afford the rest due to other commitments. But with a cut and polish and a few coats of wax she should look great.

Ive painted all the door trims and once it gets back will paint the wing mirrors and door surrounds to get rid of the surface rust

Just spent up large to "finish" off this build.

    New:
-42mm Thick full width Ali radiator
    -10" Slim Line Fan
    -Ali Radiator overflow bottle

Should hopefully fix my cooling issues, seems the Dseries Radiator cant quite keep up with around town driving. Its fine on the open road but with reduced airflow at low speeds the temps crept up.
I only wanted a half sized radiator and have one for EG Civic in the garage but as most of you know they sit to high for EF chassis so the bonnet wont shut unless you tilt the radiator back.

Now just need to prepare my new rocker cover, have some tricks up my sleeve for this one ;) Fingers crossed it works

^ Such a great car, leaves the Shuttle for dead in both a straight line and in the bends. Spent 3 hours cleaning/polishing/waxing it on Monday.

Well was expecting to pick up the Shuttle from the paint shop today however they are still prepping it. Should be ready on Wednesday so I can put the roof racks back on, put the side trims back on and fit these:

The on Friday we have our countrys biggest Honda meet, so hopefully its ready for that!

Bringing my shuttle to NIMM so hopefully we can have a photo of the 3 - 5 that will turn up :)

Might even wash the shuttle for this one! Last time it got washed... it was a rag and water bottle and I wiped the dirt off :P

I just hope mine is back from paint. At this stage is sitting with the roof prepped, bonnet off and being prepped, drivers door and guard prepped and front bumper being worked on.
So hopefully prep is finished today/monday and it gets painted Tuesday so I can pick it up Wednesday after work.
That should leave me Wednesday and Thursday evenings to re-assemble it

Looks good! I'm debating whether to get my lip colour matched or not. Yours looks good blue. Its a tight time frame to get it together haha
  • NZ-DB8RNZ-DB8R Moderator
My lip is painted black, debated on getting it painted blue but figured I would be touching it up from time to time so black was better for that
  • rti intracrti intrac Senior Wagonist
It looks kind of blue in that picture. Black is easier to touch up, and the paint is probably cheaper too
Hopefully all your prep is finished in time!
  • NZ-DB8RNZ-DB8R Moderator
In the pic it is blue, I had some B37M Blue paint made up in aerosol cans for doing the engine bay etc so put it on the lip to see how it would look.
Decided on the black to match the side trims, side skirts and rear lip etc

I hope so too, the guy painting it loves hondas (Has a SOHC Turbo EG Sedan) so is doing his best to ensure it is done on time

    How is the paint going?
  • I went and saw it this afteroon, its all done apart from painting the filler panel, mouth of the bumper and top of the front bumper black. Looked good just very dusty.
I had the option of taking it home today and putting it back together then dropping it back to get finished but decided to leave it there and they will do it tomorrow. That means a busy night tomorrow night to put it all together again for NIMM.

All going well it WILL be there
  • Sweet at least you are on track for it to be there :D
