Just so everyone knows. Here's the ad for the bar. I't's meant for an 03-09 Honda element. The brackets they provide will fit and sit perfect, but you need to have at least a 1" shim on each side for it to fit width wise.

    All and all:
    Push bar- 90$ on ebay
Hella 500's and harness- 40$ from a local guy
Spare pigtails- FREE (I had some left over)
Hard plastic wire covers, Tape, and solder- 13$
    2"of 1"diameter steel pipe for shims- 3$
    A couple Welds- 4 Beers

146$ When all is said and done for a full bar and light setup. WAY better than spending 400 on a real one IMO and I'm not afraid to use this one.

Looks good dude I'm liking your build!!
  • Looks really cool man! Should be able to light up the night no prob now!
  • It's about as low as a volvo front lip. I'll take a picture today for you.
  • Heres a picture of how low it hangs. Not low in my opinion, and I havent hit anything or even scraped it yet. (Even over potholes)

Nice bull bar! I like how it doesn't come up too far.
  • I originally didn't want a bull bar because of the price.

    Now however...

    Damn you. lol.

    What year is the blazer?
  • Yeah the price isn't bad! it comes with light holders so you can put whatever you like there or not. And it's just the right thickness too. I'd like to see more :)

coko: I believe it was a 2003. But definitely early 2000's

How many inches is from the bottom of the bumper to the bottom of the bar?
Is it mounted on the tow hooks by one bolt each side?
    Is it sturdy?
Thanks for taking pics btw, helps me clear any questions I have in case I get one.
Nice wagon man, keep it up and keep her secure lots of people getting wagons stolen.

I really like that bar.. I manage to get my hand on a JDM one, but I think I am liking the look of yours...

B&m shifter and energy bushings installed

What center console/arm rest did you use here?
  • I've been getting a lot of questions on the bull-bar so I made a little picture of how it mounts on the tow hooks ONLY. It will stay in place but for extra support you need to do what I did: And run an extra bracket to the bumper from the cross bar. Or the front clip behind the bumper if you are ballsy.

I think it was an 89 accord Armrest. Had flip up lights, but it is pretty hard to come by. I have been looking for months and finally found one in a junkyard. As for the lower console, it is an Optional USDM console. Heres a link to a little more info.

    New Update
Gave the engine bay a little loving.

Now I just need to clean up that darn DPFI cover!

  • I have the same lower console as you and was wondering what you used for the hole above the cigarette lighter. I'm pretty sure that's where the OEM EQ went, but I have a hole there. Did you just fab up a box and shove it in there or find something from another car that fit?

    Thanks
  • Mine came with that box for storage, and im sure its stock. They had an optional EQ, and a popout drink holder. Theres a couple other options as well lol.
  • Spent some time and money on my integra this week. I started chipping off the VC paint, getting ready for it to be re-done. And pickked up a little fun pipe.

Brand spankin' new 3" CAI, got for 50$ from a gent on the north side of Milwaukee. Needed to start freshening up under the hood a little.

Boy what an amazing sound this thing gives out. First time using an AEM intake and I would recommend their intakes to anyone now.

Nothing new to the wagon yet. Still have my pipe dreams of getting the coilovers on there with the fender flares. Have a good day guys.
  • Your wagon is real clean. The console looks real good too.

deng that interior is crazy clean! the muddy pictures are cool haha
  • man i love the bull bar!!!! no way im ever paying 400+ for a oem one
  • Thanks guys. Fab up your own bar, it's definitely worth it.

Re-painted the VC on the integra. Probably the last thing I'm going to do for a while. At least until the weather warms up.
    152.jpg
  • Just an extra picture of the VC.

    553.jpg

I also did a little project for the civic.

    554.jpg
Cargo net from a late 90's early 2000's pontiac grand am. With cargo net hooks from a gen2 Eclipse.

    555.jpg
I also got the c-pillar bar powdered red. Looks nicer now.

Lastly I got some finishing bolts and dressed up under the hood a bit, and made new ground wires for the wagon. Runs a little smoother now with better grounds.
  • I started refinishing the top of my Dual point cover. pics of that once it dries.

Here are the finishing bolts, and you can see the new grounding wires in the background
