BLOXOPENHOUSE2013 in Fremont, California. my heart started pounding when i thought i had runner up for best honda. but it went to a 1990 civic hatch.. always next year and other shows.
@vladi : there are much nicer wagon builds out there than mines. but thank you. it would have made me feel great that my work paid off just to walk off with a trophy, even if it was runner up. i really want to take it up a notch with this car. im shooting for a magazine feature and when the day comes, my jobs done. (which is a lie haha)
sucks that alot over looked my car cause it wasnt as flashy and stanced out and so on like the rest of the show. most dont even know originality anymore. which was my goal with my car.
@bill: i cut the ends off like you said. pushed the bumper in and bend the sides a bit to line the holes up to screw down. fits perfect!

Surely there are great wagons around,
But dude, you converted a wagon to RHD and put a B20 Vtec in it. Could be me but I like the how wagon looks like it has rolled straight out of the Honda factory (while it's not) with a beast underneath.
Nothing flashy or overdone. I really think this is one of my favorite wagons.
i appreciate it bro. im so over being super flashy. im sourcing some BBS RM and will get them redone to fit the wagon without running camber kits because i hate those with a passion. the interior will get an over hall as well because it has a gray dash with blue interior. the exterior will get painted maybe next year when funds are available.
but most of all, ill leave these pix for you guys to do the equation for 2014.
i got tired of people asking me if i cleared coated primer. i did primer, rustoleum base coat and rustoleum clear coat. wetsand and buff. didnt know people clear primer lol.

Classy > Flashy. :encouragement:
BBS RS/RM are my favorite wheels ever! I still got a spare RM I have to refurb for a spare wheel. BBS never gets played imo!
.
I got camber kit front and back on my Shuttle to get the camber back to normal, with about 6"drop at the back my wheels started cambering bad and everyone tought I was trying to look hellaflush or whatever they call it nowadays, so I really need the kits to get my wheels back to "normal".
Cars are never finished, car people always have something to wish/save up for.
Keep up the good work!
i ran pretty low before and i had my alignment toe and caster adjusted, it was about 3 years before i started seeing camber wear on my sedan. but i mean thats what the kits are for to correct camber not to purposely camber a damn wheel in lol!. i think bbs stays with the old school chassis, its where it looks best. imo.
this was my wagon at the bloxopenhouse2011 when i first got the wagon done. there was a miata that had these flat black RMs in 8 and 8.5 that he was selling at the time. i didnt have the money but i did ...have...photoshop! hahaha.
Just taking the time to read thru your posts and watch your vids......Awesome, Amazing Work! I can appreciate your own personal blood, sweat, overall effort and motivation to make a conceptial vision for your wagon a reality! HELL YEAH! Keep it up!
It is too bad that people are only interested in wide ass tires that are cambered all out on slammed cars. More and more wagons are starting to have that same look here I have double digit wheels but widened my wagon to not have that look, but I know there are people here who appreciate the hard work that goes into making a clean wagon as you have done. Props to you.
I being seeing your videos on Youtube and seen your thread all i can say is your wagon LOOKS Amazing. Keep up the good work. I'm jealous you have a RHD wagon :encouragement:
driving it alot is what im afraid of. im afraid that i'd love this car too much that im going to abandon my turbo sedan..or even take those parts and put it in the wagon :X
Bill : ^^ the sedan is getting sold very soon. guess where the stuff is going? still dont know if i want a lexus or a ...rt4wd after that (0__0)
ragenasian : it saddens me that in my area, every kid and their mother wants a wagon now. like desperately wants one. i see wtt or wtb threads for them and most are those stance wanna be or they just straight up ruin a nice car. ive seen primered wagons with tons of stickers and others that has all that jdmfanboys stuff on it. no cleanness to them. makes me not want to drive my car around but too much time and money to this car to put it in the darkness. but thank you siR!
Same thing happening in the Netherlands man, everybody wants one but noone has money nor knowledge to maintain them properly/get the right parts for it, 90% of wagons over here are slammed/cambered and rusted out all around or build into a rusty D15 n/a racecar with tons of lame stickers.
But they dont really care, because they get mad street cred for them since it's an odd car.
Not claiming I'm a Shuttle OG, not at all. But at least I know that a Wagon needs special wagon attention which will be hard to give with almost no wagon parts available in the Netherlands. I'm willing to spend the money on the right parts to keep this classic maintained and cruising.
The most of the Dutch carscene is like that, people rather spend €400 on a set of cheap coilovers and 50 stickers than on rust repairs.
yeah, thats what im saying. wagons are starting to show up and getting mad respected. there are alot of people getting into wagon to put fad parts on there and shooting for attention. what others outside of california do to keep their cars from rusting, here they are purposely rusting them. buying every 10-20$ pieces to throw on their cars for kudos or some sh!t instead of fixing the drive ability of the car or health of the engine. you barely see anything clean ones anymore. i was talking to someone about things and they mentioned they needed camber kits soon..to find the car sitting on something that didnt need it. ive never seen a camber kit in all my years wrenching. riding low for years and not had any problem with cambering on the tire.
real enthusiast are hard to come around now a days (speaking of wagon owners) those that do try to keep a clean original car with a healthy engine. like you, there are almost no parts out here for wagons. fenders are hard enough! i had done the things to my car because i had already taken care of the main parts of the car. engine was replaced and is running as healthy as can be. my body was repaired by myself and was repainted. then came the interior. i finally sourced a clean (RHD speaking) passenger seat (LHD Driver) now my interior is looking mint~ replaced my knuckles shocks etc. then it was cosmetic appearances of my likings.
here are some photos from this past Sat/Sun
also got a passenger side window regulator (also seat) sad to say, it was off my friends wagon that ended up being in the yard
Sat night, was also a meet. this was prior to leaving.
my big ass in the car driving on the freeway
then sunday was an EF vs DA meet out here. nice turn out. several wagon. i didnt get to walk around as i was talking to several different people haha. face burnt.
