El carro rojo

took awhile, had a tear drop almost daily ever since my wagon went to shenrie to become the rally wagon.
found this little guy on craigslist about 2 1/2 months ago. was posted for $2,300 talked the guy down to $1700 then some finacial issues popped up and i had to pass, tried passing a decent deal on to others but i guess it never sold. about a week ago i seen it posted back up with a reduced price down to the $1700. called him up and told him i still wanted it but only had $1000.00 and he accepted ! next took a nice scenic 8 hr drive and swooped it up!
its durty , and needs quite a bit of work(to get cleaned up) but shit what do you expect for a 91 with 355,000 miles . might i add original motor , doesn't smoke or leak oil! next cool thing i found out is the guy i bought it from purchased it in 1991 with only 30,000 miles on it. here is a few pics, like i said she is durty. guy lives out in the country on a farm and it had been sitting for almost 10 months.

i was suprised to see that it had the rear pods :D

as for plans , im not sure if i wanna go low with it or keep it with 4x4 stance so i have something i can play with in the desert as well. in the mean time i just want to get it cleaned up , caught up on maintenance .

    Ohh I see. I was raised with spanish speaking parents yet I know English a lot more haha weird.. But your correct we use carro for wagons, sedans, small cars etc. Btw, you should leave the Carro with the 4x4 stance you will have more fun with it that way.

    I feel muchos like talking my best spanish today;
    Johnny, la gente esta muy loca.

    Some spit and shine and the wagon is good to go, doesn't look too bad for 355k miles!
  • well , been slow getting started on the wago. to make a long story shot. the wagon came and the wife left....... almost sounds like a country song lol. so kinda been a little tough getting motovation to get started on her, not to mention now i have the added expense of child care. anyway finally did something on sunday. re engaged the AWD , took her to the car wash and vacumed all the hay, cow/horse poo , and dead bugs out of it( was on a farm for pretty much all its life lol, no rust tho believe it or not) and took it for the first cruise. besides driving it up on the tow dolly i never even test drove it. took it up white mountian in the snow and mud and had some fun. ill try and post some pics later today . drove good. found that it needs the good ol main relay replaced and cuaght up on some maintainance .

    ok nice. and i really cant decide on what kind of stance to roll with lol , they both got pro's and con's . but for now i will enjoy the AWD with the 4x4 stance fer sher
