AutoX Project 91 4WD

hey guys,
figured i'd share my first journey of a honda on here since there's alot to be learned and this place has ALOT of material to help me out.
before this i had/have my 05 Mazda3s Wagon.

but had a mishap with what i believe is a dropped valve, but it's such a pain and so expensive to work on right now, my friend and i thought it would be a good idea to grab a honda for a daily beater / auto-x weekend racecar (my friend being a honda fanatic owning a 09 Si and a 07 S2k CR himself). so he found a jewel on craigslist.
1991 Honda Civic Wagovan 4WD w/ 260k on the clock.

first thing i thought is that the possibilities are endless. and the fact that this thing is in really good shape.
so this thread will basically be my progress report / goodie show.

pistons seem to have ZERO damage, and this being a budget car, that's definitely a good thing!
looks like we found the problem! couple of dropped valves on NO 1 cylinder!
and! since we have the thing half torn apart.
go ahead and ordering and installing a new DC header, new mishimoto radiator and hoses, new poly mount inserts and maybe some other things in the process.
have any of you guys used the c pillar bar? notice that much of a difference.
i've been looking at mostly progress suspension (springs / sways) but idk if i should waste my money on something like that.
small update....but beware of the crappy iPhone pics since i don't have a real camera
finally got the motor dropped out thanks to a friend of mine....these old cars are sometimes unforgiving....
another amazing fact of this car....no rust on the subframe!!! makes me soo happy. it's just extremely dirty from all the dirt it's collected in it's almost 20 years of being driven...
so while the motor is out and everything is apart, it's time to really get down and clean.
then when it comes to that time (this weekend hopefully if everything is ready)
out with old, in with the new(ish)!
figured i'd take some pics of the awkward tranny. my first 4wd so i was curious....should be fun to transfer!
TEAM EDWARD REPRESENT!!!!!
j/k
tranny fluid and rear dif fluid...honestly guys, this $70 of fluid is not a whole lot for the buck, but well worth the money.
plus, Avery approves
these toys i plan on putting on here in the next few days while the motor is out and the suspension is half assembled.
Skunk2 coilover sleeves. KYB Gr2's also, just not pictured.
and i've had my eyes on these wheels for a while, but now i can finally have them! 05(ish?) Honda Fit factory 15's
but until i get some 205/50's i'll refinish the factory whities and rock those for the next couple of months.
more progress will be in this week!
wagon is looking good.
and a little short video of me having some fun in our back parking lot. not a whole lot of room to go crazy but still fun nonetheless. we don't get snow like this here in Oklahoma very often so i had to take advantage lol.

I'd really love to see them wrapped in 27" Swamper TSLs on a lifted EF!
bwhaha how awesome would that be though man?! buddy of mine just got a stupid deal on some new Fit HFP 16's, bronzeish color. they look sick on his b18 eg sedan.
thanks for the comments guys.
