With still no news of a new body, and ol' blue sitting in my shop, I decided to try to make it at least driveable

    borrowed a Porta-Power from work

    740.jpg

It's still a total loss. It'd cost way more than it's worth to make it right

    741.jpg

    742.jpg

The roof was hit so hard that it buckled here

    743.jpg

    and here

    744.jpg

    even here..

Just wanted to get it close enough that the doors seal somewhat, instead of this

    746.jpg

    we have this

    747.jpg

filled the gap with some housepainter's caulk

    748.jpg

    749.jpg

It sure ain't pretty, but at least it's driveable while we hunt for the right shell!

If you don't find a shell in time be a trooper and drive it like this to IA.

Man that poor wagon. Such a shame to see a car with so much love put in be damaged like that.

Picked up "old blue #2" yesterday. She's in really rough shape, but with A LOT of TLC, she'll be lookin' brand new  .. progress will take time, but that's okay...right?

Here are pictures from the seller. I didn't take too many cause I was more concerned with the condition than taking pictures..
