A quick intro:
I am 28 I've been into cars since I was about 15. I have been modifying cars for the last 10 years. I have a problem and addiction to cars and ongoing project but luckily my wife is very patient with me! I have 3 kids 10, 7 and 4 months. Life is busy but its always an adventure. I have always been into Hondas. I tried to get away but recently with an integra project I took on I'd say I'm right back where I started. The wagon will be my new daily I also have a built Evo, a 69 510 Datsun project and my wife drives a cube that I hope to have on air sooner than later. Anyway, this is why I am here.
I'm new to wagons and stoked to be on the forum. I looked for one for approximately 6 months and randomly had 2 fall in my lap. I bought both since I could not decide on one of them. After 3 weeks I still could not decide. I posted them both for sale and sold my red one. Old rusty is now my new project. So far I have stripped and cleaned it, replaced all 4 blown speakers with Memphis 6.5's. I added an old JVC deck to it and have plans to swap out the stock steering wheel with an aftermarket one. I also picked up air suspension! I also bought some 15x8 +25 wheels for it but I want to sell them and cut/weld my rt steel wheels to 14x8's. If anyone knows someone in Utah LMK!!! I am thinking I'll just go to the machine shop that I use for my motors and see what they can do. Other plans for my build are to swap my MPG Build into the wagon. It's a 3-stage vtec lean burn motor that I put into an integra. I drove the integra (pics below) all summer across the country for work and it ran amazing! Can't wait to swap it in and pull the 250k origional motor out. I am also thinking of a way to re-enforce the teansmission. I'm open to pulling it apart and having all the parts Heat treated and tefflon coated. Also re-enforcing the casing with some brackets and aluminum welding. I have a lot of plans for this little wagon. I'll start a build thread soon as well.

I don't know what tranny you're going to run, but for the best mpgs, the crx hf tranny has the longest gears ever! 60mph is like 1800rpms on stock 13"rims. The crx hf should also drop right in if you've got a cable clutch (pretty sure you do) - anything after the 88-91 generation went to hydraulic clutches.
I had to do the hasport conversion to get my vx tranny into my '89 wago! Don't want to post an external link and get in trouble (my Wagon is on another fuel economy website as well), but you can pm me for more info on my Wagon's tranny conversion, I'll gladly share what I've learned!

I'm excited to see how your build plays out. Here's a guy who made 230HP with a boosted 3-stage and was still able to get 50mpg.

I would love to get more info from you. I am interested in swapping the HF final drive into my RT four-wheel-drive transmission. The gearing is extremely short. I don't know if it is compatible though. No one seems to have a lot of experience tearing these transmissions apart. From what I hear most of the parts are one off though. Which is extremely depressing ha ha
The heavy Integra got about 38 miles per gallon if I stayed out of boost. I'm hoping to get close to 55-60 in my wagon. This time I'm not utilizing a turbo though. I just have a really heavy foot and I am quite sure my 260,000 mile drivetrain won't be able to handle much horsepower over what this motors going to make. I am quite confident I should be able to pull 55 or so pretty easily. I am taking the motor to the machine shop today to be bored and matched to the 75.5 mm GX Pistons. My calculated compression ratio is 11.4:1 after .020 mm decking. i'm extremely excited about this. My other motor was about 9 to 1 compression so the boosting compression should really help with mileage. Less air means less fuel..I might eventually throw a small Grettie care or something on here with five psi or something like that. We will see.
I still have all the parts for the wheels chilling. I haven't got time to take them to the machine shop. It will be done very precise though I'm going to have them cut the welds with the Lave and cut my originals up with a late as well. Then weld them together. They should look amazing after Powder Coating. I think I'm going to go with a black with a emerald sparkle top coat. I got pretty inspired by a wagon I saw online. I'll post a pic as soon as I get a minute.
Sorry for any typos. Blame Siri
Looks great keep up the awesome work!!
