mmm, not really... a friend of mine is getting an engine swap in hopefully in about 2 weeks, after which he will give me his ol' D15B1  so i shall be dropping that motor in it.

not sure if i mentioned these things yet, but so far i have acquired the following for the hatchie..
    -EDM taillights
    -EDM rear lisence plate holder
    -EDM headlights
    -EDM clear corners
-EDM fogs (soon as they arrive, if ever, from a friend of mine in germany...)
-EDM sidemarkers (same story as above^)
    -EDM center console
    -rear cargo pods and cover
    -odds and ends
    -Eibach Sportline springs

besides the engine, i still need to find a 5-speed tranny, a hood and drivers side fender.

i will be redoing the headliner in some funky cloth, not sure what yet but i'm looking around. also will be reupholstering my own seats and door panels with faux-leather side bolsters and some cloth for the center.. again, not sure what cloth. =)

for paint i will be respraying it in the original Red, then do a white roof (and possibly hood) and get black vinyl squares laid in a checked format.
for the hood i hope to be able to get a ZC bulge, but unsure how yet. (i may fab one up lol)

i have not seen the car personally in over half a year.. oh well. im hoping to get a little work done on it hopefully over spring break. ;)

Nice hatch, I wanted to do similar things to mine, which is why I'm looking at wagons. I bought the hatch as a DD to use while I worked on my EVO and the next thing I knew I had traded my Ruckus for a B16A2 and started compiling parts for the swap.

Then I wised up and decided to get rid of it so I would stop spending money on my DD. not sure what I was thinking wanting to swap my DD's motor... The Wagon will be a simpler and cheaper "build" for my DD status.
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
haha yeah my DD wagon now became a "garage queen" form of a daily driver haha. so thats why i want to get this thing rolling, so i dont have to drive the wagon all the time.

oh, i may add that i have a wagon front bumper for the hatch as well and drivers and passenger side body-colored mirrors from an Si as well lol.

also the D15B1 will be getting an MPFI conversion seeing as i wont be needing my intake manifold anymore from my wagon ;)
  • StockStock Wagonist
So are you not going B16 anymore? I have one for sale... B16A2 out of a buddies EM1, PM me if you're interested. :D
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
no, no more B16.. i mean i would love to, but i dont have the $$ for that haha. the D15 im getting is free, so its a good deal ;) i dont care too much for speed as its mostly city driven. i plan on getting the A/C to work though, and also power steering, and power door locks lol.

    its all for the comfort.

and and for wheels im using stock DX steelies painted white (later i will hand over the deep dish steelies i have, when i get new wheels on the wagon)
  • stephenstephen Senior Wagonist
speaking of wheels, did you ever sell your pinkies?
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
    nope...
  • Any updates?
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
lol nope.. i havent even seen the car in like 8 months. its in the back of my mind right now, seeing as i have so much other stuff to do. (school, job, wagon)
  • Understandable! :D

damn, i thought i was the only one that was in that situation.
i haven't worked on my hatch in months because of weather, school, being in a diff. city, etc.
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
yeah i have all the above haha.
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
well, a slight update is the following. got a Z6 head and intake manifold for my wagons old D15B2 block. going to start seeing what happens with this ;)

nothing is really bolted down completely yet, as i need to get all new gaskets (oil pan, head, valve cover, etc..) but its just a test fit lol.

anyways, basically i picked up the following:
-complete Z6 head (minus VTEC solenoid, it was missing)
    -complete Z6 intake manifold
-B18A1 throttle body (will it even work? haha whatever it came with the intake ma ni ;) )

thats pretty much it. also picked up a 5th gen Accord front lip  they gave it to me for freeskie.
everything cost $80.14 in the end.

i'm not sure, so don't rely on me; but i don't think it will.
i think they have to be series related (i.e. d-->d)
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
yeah i was looking at it closer today, and the Z6 manifold has a port that does not line up at all with the B18 TB ports. also the TB has 2 ports, the Z6 head has one.

have managed to do some work to the hatch

-new Milano Red paint, Taffeta white hood and roof w/ black vinyl squares as checkers..
-tried on the deep dish RT wheels
-dropped her about 3-4 inches on cheap springs
-custom headlight eyebrows welded to hood
    -painted bumpers... Wagon front bumper
    -white pinstripe.. MAD JDM YO
    -5th gen accord front lip
    -EDM clear corners
    -EDM tails
    -HKS full catback exhaust
    -DX tailgate with wiper arm

in the process of painting drivers and passenger side mirrors also in white

i have been considering a white or black hood/roof combo. I like it!
  • kamanari1kamanari1 New Wagonist
ive always wondered how they had the hood that gave the efs the "angry eyes"
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
headlight eyebrows... you have to weld those onto the hood. lots of patience is needed to make it look nice.
or, you just have to be handy with Photoshop

Thats very euro tuning style with the clear lense and the hoodbrows looks awesome.. not feelin the white hood/roof though
  • wagodizzlewagodizzle Council Member and EDM expert
thanks man. i am definitely going for the euro look lol

i also do not know if i will go with a white hood, though the roof is definitely going to be white. at this point its still very much up in the air, for a long time
