are different cast codes for heads interchangeable?

the head on my d16a6 is cracked, it has a pm3-7 cast code. which castings are drop in ready? car has 200000+ miles,

    I assume you want to take the guts out of your head and put them in to another head ? Why not just grab a used D head ? All D heads fit all D blocks as far as I know .You can put a D16Z6 head on and use your existing manifolds and dizzy and gain some HP as well .Get really ambitious you could make the VTEC work too .
