Driveshaft question

I recently bought a diamond in the rough AWD civic wagon for dirt cheap but it is super beat. I'll post pics in the build section this weekend...

It's a long term project. It's missing the driveshaft to the rear wheels, but it's drivable.

My question is this, do you think it'll cause problems down the line if I drive it without one? I would suppose it wouldn't, but i don't know for sure.

Thanks in advance for the responses.

I don't think it will. However, if you're worried about it, you can disable the 4wd via the lever on the transmission.

so disable the 4wd, and ensure the rear differential has fluid. Thats what i'm guessing... thanks for the response.

Won't cause any problems at all. In fact, there's really no need to disengage the transfer gear.
