door speakers

Hello all, could anyone help me out? Both of my speakers are blown and I'm looking to replace them. I pulled the speakers out and they weren't labeled what size they are. I've been doing a lot of searching,but been getting a lot of misinformation and confusion. I believe they are 5 1/4 but not sure. Most people are saying 6 1/2?

    Either or, depends on the brand as to if they will fit in the OEM speaker weather shield. I used 6"

    12cm (4.72inch) fits the plastic speaker holder (not sure if US has the same as EU).
    I'm currently busy making 13cm's (5.1 inch) fit.

    my 2 wagons were both 6 1/2.

    Thanks everyone for the feed back! I actually just found out how to measure the speaker to see what size it is. In my wagon they are 5 1/4.

    are you using the weather guard or just mounting them to the door?

    mine are mounted to the plastic adapter/spacer/weather guard that is in the door. the actual diameter of the speakers are 6 1/4 but they are known as 6 1/2.
