hi. my passion for a good mpg awd car thats easy to maintain and upgrade brought me here.
i am buying my first rt4wd civic. 5speed plus SL. i want a toy thats fun in winter and in rally x.
my plans are to fix broken things, lift it, put 185/75-14s winter thread on, ebay turbo kit, good tune and fuel setup, and thats pretty much it.
i want a custom roof rack and a begal bar too.
i need more info on what seats fit front and rear, how do i get lsd in rear, and i found some info on lifting it. from what i gather i need to find 92 accord front suspension, and for rear i think i need the integra setup but i am unsure which year 93 or 94. also i saw i need adjustable upper control arms rear, and poly bushing spacers with bigger bolts for something.
so i am reading a bit. if any of you guys can spoon feed me a link or two i would appreciate it.
thanks and nice to meet you

Sounds like you have big plans. Take your time, do the research all the info you need is here but you often have to search for it. Read the rules
and quick links first. Everything else will follow.
Fixing broken things is very important. Seat swaps have been done, Bull Bars (beagle Bars as you say) are rare and expensive. Ebay turbos are a bad idea.
Save your $ and do it right the first time. You will be much happier in the end.
Just my advise! Most of all, enjoy it and post up some pics so we can all see your progress!
Now get busy, you have alot of reading on here to do
Can I ask what you are trying to achieve?
" i saw i need adjustable upper control arms rear, and poly bushing spacers with bigger bolts for something."
for my goals i want about 250whp 220tq with single cam. i want to clear some bigger tires and have more ground clearence for holes, bumps etc. i also want lsd or locking diffs. i need a winter daily that gets 30mpg too.
i have a jrsc b18c civic i have fun with and a few bikes. i need to have fun in the winter so i figured a honda wagon is my car of choice. i considered a crv but i like things older than 95.
i dont want 35s or 600whp. 503wagon has the tire height i want and the suspension lift i am looking for. i dont mean to sound like a copy cat but that man has a good plan.
it needs to handle better to. so rear sway bar, stiffer shocks, good rubber, lighter rims, gut interior, seam stitched, roll cage, etc.
i want a beagle bar but they cost too much so a custom one similar with lights will do and maybe a small winch. might make a roof rack too like a off road basket type.
i might do a rear disc swap too if its easy ,cheap and a good upgrade. might do a hydro hand brake too.
i dont want to spend more than $4000 total and thats including the wagon for $1000. i have friends that help with labor and info so i dont have to pay for much other than tuning. i have rims, seats, and other honda parts i have hoarded over the years too. but nothing specificly for a wagon.
I also disagree with the use of all the Accord and Integra stuff. You can retain stock springs and struts by simply using a strut spacer. Check out DRMORTY's build for a machined spacer idea, or mine for a simple welded tophat extension. You will still have to trim the stop from the inside of the steering knuckles to clear the springs. You only want 1.5-1.75" of lift.
Do yourself a favor and get the Energy Suspension full poly bushing kit and install ALL OF IT. Often people just do the easy bits. When you start forcing your suspension in unaccustomed positions it will squeak and groan from every joint. Get the black ES kit, it's impregnated with lube that the red ones don't have. Red ones are squeaky.

i like your suggestions keep them coming please.
i considered the integra/accord springs because i can find springs in different rates and lengths plus it was the first lifted wagon thread i saw. i need it to be a bit stiffer than factory. type r spring rates in a type r would be the perfect ratio i want. i dont want it too stiff. i would guess honda made them light rates from the factory for the weight of the van and the fact it isnt a sports car.
i would like more wheel travel too. once i pick up my wagon i will try some suspension i have laying around to see what it does. but if you have 1st hand exp and you know a good suspension please lmk.
what would you suggest for someone looking to stiffen up the springs and get about 2"-3" of lift to clear some bigger tire and have more ground clearance. mine has to be quick around turns and 0-60 has to be good on multiple surfaces.
do they make a bushing kit for the wagon? or is it the same as a crx and ef? i will look for this answer myself on here. im sure its been answered.
also i have been reading your thread a bit at a time. i know your a wagon whore and full of usefull info. i will post in there when im finished reading through it. i stop along the way to research things i find so its going to take some time espically at 40+ pages full of info. i am sure we will disagree on some things and agree on others but i will still view you as a good source for the wagovan info. thanks
