jeff's 1991 civic field car

i bought this civic for $300 that has been sitting since late 2008. it is a 1991 civic wagon dx 5 speed. my brother says he told me about the car a few years ago but i dont remember. it was about 45 minutes away from my house. we hooked a jump pack to it and it started right up on old gas. i had to take the rear drums off because the brakes were seized, and the drivers front axle and hub were seized. i had a hard time moving it with the rotor off. the main reason i bought it was for parts for my blue civic wagon. but since it runs i will take the outside panels off and interior out and drive it in the woods. because the rockers are rotted out and it would need a lot to be roadworthy again. the grey interior is in great shape, i already started switching the interior to my blue civic.377.jpg378.jpg379.jpg

I spy front wheel drive specific rear mudflaps! Also, those floor mats should clean up nicely.
  • it is missing one rear floor mat, but the rest are in decent shape, small wear mark in the drivers side. i might be trying to sell the floor mats, and pretty much anything that wont affect the way it drives in the woods, soon. but im not sure yet.
  • here are some pictures after stripping the interior, and hitting a tree on my trail. i broke the radiator, and messed up the hood. the hood had a few dents in it before, but it was fixable. so i shouldve taken that off, but live and learn. driving too fast, steering too slow. also i put a civic hatchback dashboard back in it that i had so i have a gauge cluster.

  • Hello, im new to this forum as im new to wagons but not EF's.
Can I ask why you changed your dash to a civic hatch one?
  • i have another civic wagon with a blue interior. so i took the interior out of this one (including the dash) and put it in my other civic. the blue dash was in great shape, so i didnt want to put it in this car, because i knew it would get ruined. so i put in the hatchback dash i had laying around, mainly for the gauge cluster mounting.

well i sold the car for $400. the people only wanted the motor and transmission, so they got a free shell. i took every panel off except the rear hatch, and rear bumper. i still have my other blue interior, and i took the struts, and springs, because one of my springs is broken at the top. i also took the catalytic converter because thats worth $50 at the scrap yard.
but the car was fun while i had it.
  • Do you still have the clear bumper lights (turn signal)? if so do you want to sell them?

i do still have them i will be posting a parts for sale thread soon, as soon as i get some pictures.
