New User from Oahu, Hawaii

Hey Everyone,

I'm pretty new to cars and so Im also not mechanically inclined, I even just got my first car back in september last year which is a white 00' ek ex civic sedan. Although I have an ek for now, Im in desperate search of a wagon still ever since january when I became in love with them and their design, I had a chance to buy a beater wagon for $250 right before it went to the scrap but sadly there was too much things to repair and replace (missing key, passenger fender dented, rusts, non working driver side window, missing passenger rear trunk window, missing trunk vent molding, trunk latch not working, minor mechanical problems, paint all faded) that it'll cost me a lot to restore it so I had to pass *tear* plus I'm underage so insurance will be a problem.. I'm 17 and in 2nd year in high school with a minimum wage part time job, still paying off the money my gramps lent me to pay for my car haha Well I've been looking up wagons and the parts (even tho I don't own one haha) but it doesn't hurt to dream, the more I look those things up I became more and more infatuated with the 88-91 civic models and coming up with a lot of things I can do if I have one. Well thats a little about me and I'm new to cars so I'm willing to learn here. Thanks for reading guys! Mahalo

  • I was on Kauai a couple years ago and didn't see a single wagon. I'm headed over again in a few months and it's my goal to at least see one this time, lol
Good luck tracking one down, you will be hooked!

Haha but I'm already hooked, I've seen about 9 on this island at the moment but they're either not for sale, already sold, and/or have cons that can be costly. Well I hope you'll see one too once you get to the islands!

theres rarely any so $2k+ when you find one, there was some thats under that. Why would you buy wagons from hawaii and bring it to the mainland? It's more worth it the other way plus there isn't any rt4wd here I've seen.

Im from hawaii Waipahu #94blocc #nameless #depotroad born and raised but living in oregon for now. Since i love RT4wd wagon's and noticed everytime fly back home i never see any RT4wd's out and about or any wagon's in general I was thinking bout purchasing a matson container and shipping 2 RT4wd wagon's just for profit. I'm thinking since there's prob 2 or so on the island the supply and demand for RT4wd's should be high but then again not much people on the island know's bout the RT4wd wagon. I would only do this if I was making $1000.00 - $1500.00 profit. I'm still shipping my wagon back home once turbo'd and painted so when ever i'm on vacation i can roll and stunt on fools...lol nah jus kiddin jus wanna bring a different flavor back that's it.

Oh I get you, I was confused there lol I would buy one from you if you do bring one guaranteed haha if you do then I guess you'd be the 2nd guy in Waipahu to have a custom wagon since there are a few here that are all stock and only 1 that is not plus they all don't seem to be 4wd, Im not sure if 1 is but its unlikely.
  • 250$?? Dam that's cheap, unless it was totally rotten that wasnt a bad deal. Gotta take what we can get in Hawaii unfortunately. I got a wagon that cleaned alright but gotta throw it away cuz of paperwork drama
  • Agree on the challenge associated with finding a wagon locally. I may be interested in an "imported" RTAWD via mainland, Mr. Beastmode, depending on condition. :) LOL.

Hey if your gonna throw it away, why not give the parts to me? :encouragement: I'm getting one pretty soon but may need spare parts just incase if anything breaks haha

LOL I would love an AWD though but sadly theres always FWD for sale here when I find one. I got so much plans for one and I can't even stop daydreaming about it.
  • I need the spare parts too, I got the complete engine, trans, 3 doors, hatch and some windows still on the roller that I no need
  • Junk thing about RT is that even less parts are interchangeable and more rare, I used to want one too, but maybe not anymore hahah
