need help with a dpfi to mpfi swap.

i am new here and this is the first mpfi swap i do, i have a 91 civic wagon, it has a d15b2 motor auto transmission, so far the parts i have are a d16a6 with a b18a1 thottle body, i purchased a da engine harness has the resister box plug, i just purchased accord injectors since they are low impendance, and a pm6 ecu i kept from a crx i had, will these items work fine? or will i have to switch some parts around? need help please let me know.

Rule of thumb: always use your stock harness. Just mate the da harness and the stock harness, Cap off the resistor box plug and everything else should be fine. Not sure if the accord injectors are going to work with the plugs but if they plug in than you should be fine. There are plenty of write ups online that'll tell you how to mate the harness and cap off the resistor box. Good luck with your build, start a build thread and post some pics of your before and after so we can see what you are working with. We LOVE pictures. Welcome
  • If your injectors are low impedance, then you need the resistor box. I would just modify the stock harness and add the things it is missing from the da harness, such as the injector plugs, and fuel injector resistor plugs and box if you have it. You will also have to switch a couple wires on the ecu plugs and add 4 wires from the ecu to the engine bay. Two will be for injectors, and two will be for the extra sensor in the distributor. Also, you will have to grab the wires that drove the two stock injectors and extend them to two of the mutiport injectors and run the ground from the stock injectors to the ground on the resistor box. You will need a multiport distributor that bolts to the head you are using, Si or HF crx, or ex sedan from 88-91 would be Ideal. If you have money, Rywire sells a pain free easy harness that will save you a lot of time. If you are doing it yourself, there are many good write-ups (which you will need to figure out exactly where all those wires I mentioned are and where they go) all over the web, just do a little searching.
