I think that the end result will fit both 2wd and 4wd wagons.
NO they're different enough that it will need 2 different kits( 2WD & 4WD).I tried already. The 2WD design will be easier.I hope I wrote it down somewhere?
OK, thanks. I was just thinking that if we had a bracket/caliper/rotor that cleared the 4wd RTA, it would also fit the 2wd.
What's different, hub offset?[/quote:ddtrjq02]
I'll say again, for the third time here, that the adapter I have in mind will fit either one.
also, Matt, which bearings you using in the rear? I havent been able to find some for the rear of the RT. No where online or local. Even contacted a major bearing supplier for Koyo and NSK...no luck.

Lemme know where you got them!
I carefully took mine apart and greased them up when i put them back together and im still getting a whine from my drivers side..... I talked to schucks/O"reilly the other day and we looked up my car 88 RT4wd wagon and the rear bearings are $30 each..... heres a pic of my set-up its not perfect nor finished but it works i feel good about it and as long as i can get the E-brake working ill be happy. i wish i would have moved the caliper away from the rotor just a lil bit more cuz the spring steel that hold the pads in BARELY touch the edge of the rotor so i took them out till i shave a lil off the rotor.
the rotor isnt bolted to the hub thats why its a lil crooked without the wheel on.

Hello all. I met up with Bam today, got some RT parts. I've taken em to my working space, looks like a drum to disc adapter MAY be possible, like a bolt in one (though you'd have to remove the rear hub.) I'll keep my progress posted.
That's cause that is a drum e-brake cable in the picture. Granted that isn't the style of e-brake cable and caliper mounting found on cars like the EF and DA, that bracket for the e-brake may have some flex in it, not positive.
If you're referring to this picture, that most definitely is not an e-brake cable for a drum brake. The clevis end on the cable is a clear indication of that. The drum brake cables have a simple square-ish lump on the end that slides into the lever arm in the drum brake mechanism.
However if that is not the picture you're talking about, never mind. I'll shut up.

I just pulled those from a DA the other day they are most definetly for disc breaks.
did a lil work on my rear disc brake set-up. When i mounted the caliper it was about a 1/16 of an inch too close to the rotor the spring steel that holds the pads in place were just barely grazing the rotor making some noise. so my good buddy Evan hooked it up and shaved them a lil for me.
and a lil better shot of the bracket i made with my buddy mike.
last thing to tackle is gunna be the E-brake but Evan and I checked it out were gunna make a hole new bracket and weld it right on the trailing arm. hopefully in a couple weeks it will be 100% button upped.
Well it'd be a little more difficult to get a perfect alignment of the caliper/rotor that way, but if you took your time and it's properly aligned, I don't see anything wrong with that. Good job!
in for brake experts reciepe ! im probally hopin for to much but i anticipate there being a easy simple solution im a little slow and need direct instructions i cant just " lego " it and look at the picture and make something from there and be confident about it .- im sure theres a simple bracket that can be made to fit oem calipers and the ebrake cable for a car like a integra DA and thats that. i have neither time or money to explore this .. im in for a kit ! lol
