that blows. all that work and already parting with her. hope she ends up in good hands. and good luck in arizona. you planning on coming back up to the nw?
Let me be clear- there is a very very very low chance of the car being sold. For the simple fact that I'm not willing to just simply sell her. I have a lot invested (more than financially) into this car. And if I didn't feel it was for the possible greater good, I wouldn't even consider it.
Still possible. the problem is, I'll be living in an apartment for at least a year. And when I previously lived in AZ, I had my hatch back stolen twice in one month from a very nice gated community. The second time, the car had no ECU even. Being in an apartment also means I won't be able to work on her. There's a handful of things that MUST be done before I could even consider daily driving it for a year and expect no problems. The car runs amazing. And I'm completely confident I could drive it anywhere without a problem. I just don't know that I'm going to have the time and money to get done, what must be done.
What's most likely to happen, is I'll leave the car behind at my parents, with a friend, or a storage facility. Come back and get her next year when I have a garage to park in.
There's always the wild card possibility. Which would be the most ideal. Currently planning to transfer restaurants. But I'm also applying for about 30 jobs. There's always a chance I'll get one of the better jobs I'm applying for, and be able to get into an apartment with garage parking, condo, or if I'm really lucky, a house. But the current plan is to stay with my sister for a while at least. And they have zero garages on site.
Everyone keep your fingers crossed that I get one of the better jobs haha
Did a bit of work over the weekend. Been hot as hell. But I love it!
JDM'd my mudflaps for $4
Also gave her her first real tune up since purchase. She ran remarkably strong before. I'm blown away at how strong she is now! I can't see what motor is in there due to a dirty bay. But I'm suspicious that it may not be the original motor. We'll find out this weekend when I clean under the hood.
Regardless, I'm sure this has nothing to do with strength increase...
I didn't believe how much plugs and plug wires did for Jane. Ii'd highly suggest a good set of plug wires to go with your new plugs. Makes our old cars drive like a million bucks!
Id stick with oem wires presonally. at least ohm test them before replacing to make sure they actually need replaced. aftermarket wires are generally junk.

^^^ bigger doesnt mean better. Weve ohm tested oem vs most major brands and the oem ones had less resistance than most all of them along with more even resistance from wire to wire. All the MSD wires I had were crap (none were the 8.5's though). i sold and replaced with either NGK or OEM and car ran better in every instance.
i run NGK plugs with MSD 8.5's and every one of my hondas have ran like a champ. They're expensive but IMO worth it. I refuse to use any other aftermarket wires other than those.
Planning to daily drive Nancy until Kate is ready for daily driving. Then switch back to Nancy as the 'project'.
Still planning to move to Phoenix, but postponed a few months. Really only a few things left to do to her before I go. Gonna steal the rear seat out of Kate, then my interior will be complete. It turned out remarkably clean when I was done. Still some plastic scratches here and there. But these new seats I picked up from shenrie really changed the feel of the interior around for me.

Sitting out front, after just having towed the new whip home...
I really really really want to keep both cars. But you've got dibs. Wouldn't be until Christmas time or after (I gotta play in the snow some before I go to the desert lol).
And I'll probably keep the bull bar forever. I got really lucky getting it back from 503. It's just not worth giving up for what I could get out of it. Especially after it get's powder coated.
Anyway, thanks for the help today man! And we need to grab some pizza and beer soon, on me.
Forgot to post some pics with the rack. I installed a factory Ford Aerostar roof rack. It's nearly identical to the stock Honda ones. But way longer. Giving you more options. Nearly goes windshield to hatch. Good stuff... I'll take some more install pics when I pull them to restore.
Was excited to get home a couple weeks ago from Phoenix, to some snow. Didn't last long. But ready for it!

Krylon stained glass paint.
$10 a can at Michael's or probably most hobby stores. I used 3 cans to get them that dark.
