So the build should begin this week! excited mode!

So I just got the wagon and as I drive it I just dream of the things I want to do with it, it is my first wagon but not my first build. I have built a ef hatch and an ek(which was stolen stinking thieves). Now off to the build with the wagon. Your input is welcome and I can't wait to hear some of your suggestions. This coming monday I will be putting in a B18 LS with DC headers, under crank pulley and msd coil. The motor was just rebuilt and it comes with a gsr B17 tranny. I will be posting pictures of that soon. As for the car here are some pictures so you can better see what I am dealing with. Will also take interior pictures soon!
Will also be adding a skunk2 pro suspension with blox rear control arms and skunk2 lower tie bar and camber kit, putting some bottle caps this weekend as well... Well hopefully lol! And also getting a lip from www.racingrubberlip.com he makes lips specified to the car and I personally like the way it looks, he is based out of florida
Oh the joys, all that will come before the paint, planing on getting two extra hood, rusting out one of them and wrapping another in vinyl, will probably wrap the hatch in some vinyl as well

That lip looks good on the EF hatch but not on the other two cars. Can't wait to see the progress on the wagon though.
A LS in the wagon is fun, I have the same and it's worth the headache I went through to put it in.
Congrats on the wagon, Welcome to the forum and Can't wait for progress pics of your wagon :)
  • and here is the engine. And I like how it looks on the ef too, I think it will look great on the wagon. Trying to find a rear lip though any suggestions? or should i just leave it as is? I do want to replace the bumpers, with the other bumpers with paint on them
  • That looks like an awesome start to an awesome build!
  • Thanks man hopefully I will be up to par with a lot of the guys here... Probably painting the beginning of next year... And looking for a 3rd set of wheels... Any suggestions?

I made a rear lip from a DA(90-91) Integra, font lip, before and it fits well with mudflaps. Or try a CB7(90-94) Accord, front lip as well, and make it fit the rear. Thats what I have right now. Looks good, nothing too flashy.
Engine looks good, remember the half shaft is different from the autos and manuals. I learned that the hard way lol
Any questions on it, feel free to hit me up through pm and I'll help in any way possible.
  • thanks jdm I will defenitely let you know if anything! I want to keep this thing for the long haul so I definitely want to do it right!!!
  • I want rt wheels, any one with some pm me.. also bought some fabric fpr the head liner and doors will post pics soon!!!
  • As we speak my brave little wagon is getting a transplant will post pic Wednesday getting bottle caps too, then the suspension in October... I am pretty excited at how it's all turning out....
  • Great stuff! Great build so far!
  • so the transplant went well, got to go back to get some things finalized but overall i am satisfied... I will be putting on the bottle capst today. The swap runs strong, however I will have to transfer the battery to the back so i can get a better intake. My friend who did the swap had to make a harness and convert it back to OBDO, but it wrongs strong and it is pretty much what I wanted. Also will be getting a hasport ac bracket so I can have ac in this baby!!! Build is coming along well, just have to get the suspension done and then the paint... but for now I will be doing some interior work and trying to fab a center console so that I can fit a double din radio in there. Any suggestions are welcome.
  • will be putting this in sometime this week hopefully, doing the headliner, doors and the shift boot! I like the print my nephew picked it out, pretty good eye for a 3 year old lol

Just get the proper size battery. I have a 3 1/2 inch intake pipe with my LS swap and it clears the battery no problem.
Check out my build thread, I'm almost positve I have pictures so you can see.
  • yea i see what you mean... My battery is bigger than that!! but I kinda wanted to go whale penis on it lol... What do you think JDM... btw jeffee looking good!!! Wish our junk yards in fl were as fruitful!!!

The junkyards out here aren't that great, I just happen to go on the right days LOL
If you go whale penis than you will definately have to relocate. If not than just getting the right size battery will do the trick.
Just make sure you do it right. Get a battery tie down and possibly a battery holder like the RVs use. Make sure to run the wires in a place that won't see much movement(won't get cut or frayed as easy)
If you don't do the relocation the proper way the first time than it could result in a fire or other serious injuries.
Good luck and keep us posted.
  • Thanks jdm
  • Put on the bottle caps they look nice but they need to be painted and I need to install my suspension ASAP.... But other than that probably doing some interior stuff this weekend and the head liner and stuff, I'm liking the progress of the build wish I had more money and cash lol
  • very nice man gj
  • Putting the build on hold for a month. will be traveling to south america.... But up next is: ac, suspension, headliner, windshield gasket, getting rid of the roof rack, painting it, and trying to get a double din in there
