ratchet's 88 rt4wd

So now that I figured out how to upload pics via photobucket, via iPhone, I can start a build thread (yay!) the story goes that almost a year ago I was craigslist browsing like I do every night, and I found an ad far away with no number, saying 'Honda civic van, rebuilt motor, needs u joint for 4wd to work, $700'
DING!!!! I emailed him and we went back and forth many times, he said he would hold it for me. Car needed a clutch, and u joints for the driveshaft. Fast forward 2 months and I have sold my db and decided to go get her, but she is 8 hours away... It was a Tuesday I had off, and I spent a few hours fabbing a hitch receiver for my friends recently purchased, stock, and just lowered the previous day, ef hatch. Finished it up, added some wiring and rented a tow dolly (with my dads truck) from uhaul. Left at 2 am and headed north to eureka ca with dolly in tow. Damn thing caught air numerous times, but my welds seemed good to go. Make it there around 11 am with no problems, handed the po $500, loaded up and preceeded to continually check how tight I could pucker. I ran my safety chains tight inside incase the welds broke, but worse case senario the toungue would go under the car 'in theory'. I stopped every hour or so and checked everything, all seemed good to go. Made it within the last hour of driving and blew a rear tire on the ef hatch. In a construction zone. With no shoulder. In a lowered, now dragging hatch. Yeah, basically changed the tire in the slow lane in less than 2 minutes. Scariest shit. But made it home safe thereafter. Longest trip of my life! But worth it...

The interior is trashed, seats are garbage. But it does had the tray on top of the spare which I thought was cool. The motor was rebuilt top to bottom by the po's father who is a thorough mechanic and the original owner. All the axles are new underneath, the brakes are newer, the suspension has been gone through but all stock. The car is 100% stock except someone added a cruise control unit that I will attempt to fix. Motor has a bog when floored, but I'll figure it out. And reverse makes some bad noises... Onto the pics!
