What size are the nuts on the Shift cables? RT4WD

I need to figure out what size these nuts are. The ones on the shift cables, where they are attached to the bracket on top of the transmission. (This is 89 RT4WD) I know they are larger than a 22 mm, that's the largest wrench I have at the moment.

If anybody knows this, please let me know! This is the last thing keeping my engine in!

Bigger than a 22mm? Huh? I don't recall them being bigger than a 17mm... although it was a long time ago now.

I think the ones that hold the mount to the transmission are 17mm, but the ones on the cables themselves are freakin huge. I was gonna put the vise grips on them, but I was worried about chewing them up. Might have to. Either that or go buy a few wrenches.

just some friendly advice hear but its a good idea to get haynes and chilton manuals for cars that you plan on working on, they are chock full of all sorts of tough to find and model specific information just like this! i like to buy all the manuals for every car I get. I know manuals are alot like stopping to ask for directions and lots of guys just like to figure it out on their own but then when someone tells you to RTFM you can be like yeah i did.
